    so you have an accepted estimate for the year, with quarterly estimate billing and the client pays that. Now you want to send them a more detailed monthly invoice showing exactly what they have purchased/consumed that month, with credit for what they have paid. How do you do taht?

    Can you add a payment link to a statement? How do you make QB not record the payment as a sale?

      What do you mean by linking the payment link to a statement? If you are creating the link via an invoice in quickbooks there is no way to not record it as a sale. I'm not sure I can adequately answer your question without knowing your specific situation. Please provide more info on what you are trying to accomplish.

    In order to set up for receipts via ach must invoices be emailed as opposed to regular mail with payments link indicated on invoice

      I do not believe there is a say to print the invoice and mail it with a payment link. A work around could be to select save and share link at the bottom right, and then copy the payment link in the memo field but it is a long link

    Quickbook is good for invoicing but a bit tricky. On the other hand, InvoiceBerry is simpler, more user-friendly, and has more features for easy invoicing.

    Quickbooks online support said they don’t offer payment links to receive payment so we have to connect to a third party app. Did you connect to a third party app to get your payment link available? If yes is it the Square I saw or a different third party app?

      In the bottom right hand corner of the invoice where you normally save and send or save and close, click the arrow and choose save and send link. This will allow you to copy the payment link for the invoice. Hope this helps!

      I would need to understand your specific situation before giving an appropriate answer to your question. Most likely you could, however, there would probably need to be additional accounting entries necessary to ensure proper reporting. Sorry I am unable to answer any further than that with the current information that i have.

    What happens when the job changes after a deposit has been taken? My jobs rarely end up exactly the same from Estimate to Invoice.

      Simply change the original estimate in QBO. You can update the amount of an existing line or even add new lines on the estimate. Continue to create invoices from that estimate and that will ensure you invoice for the appropriate amount even with the changes. Hope this helped!

    Question . How do you received payments when it’s just partial payment and not confuse it with any other income. Invoice for 2k Received 1k

      Open the invoice and click receive payment. Enter in the amount you received even though it's less then the total owed, enter the date, and the bank account the money will be deposited to. This will allow you to match the deposit in the banking section. Hope this helps!

    we got a refund from home depot on a project and it was entered as a deposit against the correct COGS expense. I am having a hard time finding where I can input the project in order to associate it with this QBO deposit though.

      you will be able to select the project from the "Received From" column on the deposit transaction. youll see your projects labeled as "Project of [customer name]". Hope this helped!

    Do you always have to toggle the Progress Invoicing with to ON every time? My switch keeps turning off. I'm also never seeing the "how much do you want to invoice" window.

      You should not have to toggle progress invoicing on every time. That sounds like a system glitch. QuickBooks support would be the best way to get this question answered.

      We primarily use QuickBooks Online products. I am not up to date on all of the new features and what QuickBooks Desktop offers today but i do believe there is a QuickBooks Payments option for desktop. Go to quickbooks.intuit.com/payments/desktop/# .. this might answer your question.

    I had a regular version of Quickbooks and upgraded to Pro. While with the regular version, I was able to use Quickbooks online payments. Since I have upgraded, I am denied the Quickbooks debit card and the ability to link my bank account to online payment services through QB. They do not approve me. Also, money that has been sent to me was refunded to my customers because of this before I was notifie. . How do I fix this problem? Customer Service was unhelpful.

    I do not see the instructions for use tax. I buy some items for office use, and there is no sales tax when the purchase transaction occurs. So Texas makes the owner to pay use tax for this item.
