Using a microphone stand with a 3/8" to 1/4" screw adapter and the Vimgo P10 projector on a 24" by 36" grid paper from staples. Tested with lights off and on. It''s a game changer. How dark did the room have to be? Can it still be visible with some lights on?
It depends. With my setup, most house lights, you’re fine. It may be a little fuzzy and/or light, but still totally usable. If you’re in a store with lots of fluorescents…RIP.

Vimgo p10. It's a great projector and it's on sale right now. But definitely get an Amazon firestick if you plan to use for streaming movies. Otherwise make your maps. Load on a USB stick. Plug and go. amzn.to/3xSVMUu
@@superdmdave3505 Thanks so much! I only need it for maps... I thought "If I am going to buy a cheap projector, why not fully comit and buy the cheapest?". I got a different model for 40$ cad or something and its working perfect for me.
How much taller would the projector have to be above the board? I was hoping to replicate this with a table arm instead of a mic stand, but I’m not sure that it would be tall enough to fill a board.
With this projector it had to be 3 to 4 ft. If you get a short throw projector could be 1ft to 2 ft

@@superdmdave3505 hey bud. Update. Got the projector. Holy hell it is nice. Can I ask which microphone stand you got as well or will any of them have that peg at the bottom to mount it? Also what is your new channel?
@@Bearmetal13 I just had a microphone boom hanging around. I ordered a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter to mount the projector on the end. I'll try find the Amazon link for ya

Ye I plan on getting back to my campaign with my crew here sometime. I have a homemade campaign called Dark tides of the sword coast we started. They just made it to Wave echo cave where the forge of Spells was being occupied by Revanhorns troops. And his pet young white Dragon Frostclaw. They defeated the dragon, but lost the NPC Sheila, a female barbarian druid. The dragon bit her in half while she was in tiger shape.
This turned out amazingly. Where did you find the mp4s that you used?

So how dark does the room need to be to see it well? Does it work well in a room bright enough to read character sheets off of?
The darker the better. Half lit dimmed rooms are fine

Yeah it works great. I'll set it up again to show you. The stand wasn't quite tall enough so I attached it to a little coffee table to add some height. But it's portable.
