Awesome voice, commanding presence, handsome, but evil incarnate. Bela is the VERY BEST Dracula there ever was. I love Christopher Lee's Dracula, but for me, Bela was incredible, and the very best there ever was. R.I.P. to the great Bela Lugosi.❤️
Bela Lugosi is to Dracula is what Robert Englund is to Freddy Krueger, and James Earl Jones is to Darth Vader. He embodies the character, to the point where it's hard to imagine anyone else in the role. Several actors might have portrayed Dracula within the 130+ years of the character's existence, but Lugosi's portrayal of the Count will always be the most iconic version of the character and the Lugosi Dracula wii always be one of the greatest movie villains of all time.
Lugosi move in a way just like undead, and act very serious his make a deep acting, while Nicolas Cadge as Dracula look more like a Jester than a actual undead lord alive for hundread years, who denied Christ and condemn people souls.
The film doesn't show the moment when Jonathan Harker visits Dracula at his castle either. Supposedly, Renfield is the real estate agent who sells Carfax Abbey to the old Transilvanian gentleman, and not Jonathan Harker.
Marvellous scene between an Irresistible Force and an Immoveable object - van Helsing. The film as a whole looks its age by now but these two characters have never been beaten
Van Helsing BARELY made that DC 17 Wisdom saving throw.
The original "Force".
There are only 2 Dracula. Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee.
Dracula looks like sir kier starmer
Could never hold a flame to nosferatu

“Your will is strong and healthy.” Great line.

Such an iconic performance and character, yet Bela Lugosi died in a crappy little apartment with almost nothing left to his name 25 years later.
Commmme..….. her! Wonderful 😊👍
Bela Lugosi is the *ONE TRUE* Dracula

Buried as Dracula.
The Count should have thrown hands right here.
Unbelievable that this is nearly 100 years old.
He did Dracula in the theater thousand times before he made it to the screen
He pulled that cross out like a 9mm...😅😅😅😅😅
There's a very real and very awesome photo of Lugosi in his Dracula outfit playing poker with...Santa Claus.

it's correct Dracula - no sense to rush...
I wonder if Mr Lugosi had any regrets being pegged and eventually stereotyped as THE Dracula?
Gay subtext.
Explain?
Schizo

Those are the differences between Bram Stoker's original story and the 1931 movie.
I´ve found two people with a worse english accent than mine, finally.
Fun fact: Bela Lugosi was actually born in Transylvania.
