Thing is...my watch constantly does the time sync with my phone, but it never automatically corrects the time. And my Fenix 7 Pro drifts quite quickly and severely. Apparently this has been an issue with Garmin watches for many years and I don't get why they can't fix it

I have this watch...it s very good! Over all...nice! But...i can not understand...i split my time between austria and greece...in austria the watch doesn t charge very well,i mean solar charge! I was down to greece...my solar charge was powerfull! 100% 9 days straight!!!! I guess the sun hits different back to greece!!!

Do you need outdoors maps+ for this to work as when i click add map nothing appears after it just goes back to add map

The issue is when i select an activity on my garmin watch it does not record any data from the chest strap

Looks super simple, just replaced the battery in my HRM-Pro... was familiar because I also had the HRM-Run and the HRM-Tri. My experience is that the replacement goes okay but the replacement batteries NEVER last as long as the original. The Pro didn't go so well, the gasket on mine came loose when removing the cover and was a pain to get back on. Got it all back together and erratic heart rate.... was 200+ but finally settled into a normal range. Next run it was just high again... took it apart and the gasket was where it should be but a drop of water on the battery tells me its not sealed... not very serviceable is my take away here. Reseated the gasket and will try again.

Poor piece of design from Garmin. Battery retention is weak, O-ring hard to keep in place and get equal crush when re-installing.

So that means if you leave it in the sun for 10 hours a day for 10 days with the power off it will be fully charged. I guess that is ok if you are in a survival situation and lost in the forest. 🫤

Which type of screen is easier to read outside on a bright sunny day when running?

Worked for me other than it took the need for a second replacement battery (Energizer) as the dollar store Sunbeam that I installed the day prior (it’s what I had on hand) did not connect at all with the Garmin app. The Energizer worked instantly. The other thing I should add is the O-Ring, which took a while to reinstall, even with the aid of a mini-screwdriver to keep it in place. Took nearly 10 minutes alone. The rest of the install took mere seconds.

Заявленное время работы часов на 7 серии вообще не соответствует действительности. С солнечной зарядкой живут меньше чем старые 6й серии. Неудачный продукт, еще и обман про солнечную зарядку. На видео эффект остаточного заряда, так будет и с телефоном, если его выключить и он полежит. То что часы показали еще сутки работы, это не значит что они проживут 24 часа. 😢

i have the fenix 6 pro and the flashlight mode is litterally just the display on full brightness. its enough to not fall on your face but is weaker than a candle or zippo. this seems like quite an upgrade as an emergency light

This always worked for me. Without any changes (wifi or other), it suddenly won’t synchronize any more. It finds my wifi, connects but then it stucks at 0% until it fails

this "trick" with leaving device on pin was very useful :)

Good tip unclipping one side to save battery after a run. Looking to replace my Garmin after not working again after a battery change and I think this is the one! Cheers.

Get the garmin watch and the h10 chest strap. You get both apps on your phone and can compare your numbers.

Mine still doesn't sync when doing it manually.

As many others have already commented here, the design of the HRM Pro does not seem suited to battery replacement. I replaced the battery in mine much like in this video, got it working perfectly again, used it intensely for a week (daily soaked in sweat), and now it's as dead as a doornail. Never had any problems with it before. Don't buy the Garmin HRM Pro with the expectation of replacing the battery without damaging the unit.

i wear my fenix 6 pro solar in the DRY sauna all the time - temps of 180F.... however i wonder if that caused my barometer / altimeter sensor to fail. again this is after 2 years or so of usage and lots of sauna sessions. my watch stops recording FLOORs climbed and even elevation recordings during a GPS activity would show incorrectly. Tried to reset and also tried re-calibrating the altimeter; no luck. this happened to me on my vivoactive music too. so im thinking maybe something im doing - possibly the dry sauna?
