For G C and D sounds like you can play their respective blues scales. But for Am and Bm that doesn't seem to work the same?

Great topic. Be willing to adjust as needed, I have a low tolerance for sour tuning, so, it can be a workout sometimes. Capo on, capo off...I try to be open minded, and tune to the room if needed. Machine is not always right, trust your ear!

Cripple Creek is also the only tune I can remember on banjo. It was the first tune in the book I used.

I'll tell you why you can't keep that instrument in tune. It's actually very simple. It's because that is banjo is a piece of shit. People always think that you spend good money on a quality instrument for sound and while that is kind of true but you really spend it for is everything else including allowing instrument to stay in tune. Don't buy a gold tone or good time banjo, because you're going to have the opposite of a good time
