This is really unique and seems like it'd be fun to solve, then watch friends/family/other puzzle fans solve. Makes you wonder what sounds people will make to solve that side. 😂

Apparently, Gerard hid some Easter Eggs (Turtle Eggs?😅) in this puzzle box that many solvers haven't found. Something about getting 3 red fish to swim and a couple other things. He commented on Chris Ramsay's video where he's solving it. I'd love to see *Someone* finally get those extras figured out.

I've got one in the garage somewhere? Never completed it before will have to try and find it and have another go!

I have owned this puzzle for so many years I got it from my grandpa and holy shit you just showed me how to open it as soon as you mentioned the ball I felt like and idiot and immediately realized. This is dope I thought I was the only one that owned this thing lmao

My guess would be that you could push the metal pin out and correct the misplaced wheel. It's probably held in with friction.

Thank you very much for the help on this interesting puzzle. Normally, I dislike for anyone to reveal any magic trick to others, who may be mere curiousity seekers, not interested in performing magic as a magician, and who will not respect other magicians and not further the magical arts. In this case, I see only 881 views have been recorded in 10 months running. By my reckoning, there is a good chance most of these views were probably, like myself, just wanting to restore a long out-of-production magical prop that was lying in a drawer and for which the instruction sheet has been lost. In other words, the item was not, is not and will not serve any magical purpose, perhaps forever. Now, as an older magician I may be able to pass this gadget on to a young starting magician who will make it come alive as he or she acquires more and more skill in entertaining others as a magician. Whew! Thanks, well done video presentation.

An adorable little puzzle from yesteryear! Personally, I don't like the term "Trick" applied to puzzles. Here's a dictionary definition: Trick: A cunning act or scheme intended to deceive or outwit someone. "he's a double-dealer capable of any mean trick". Surely a clever puzzle with a great mechanism deserves better than that. The penknife has a safety feature, locking it closed. Maybe it should be called "Locked Knife" ?

An admirable new puzzle, very innovative and beautifully made... but it breaks with the tradition which says "Don't bring a tool to solve a puzzle." If the solver doesn't know that a hairdryer is needed, how could they guess? And if the puzzle comes with instructions saying that a hairdryer is needed, it's less like a puzzle and more like a toy. More information needed.

Good tutorial! I already know how to solve the cube, but this seems like it would be good to help someone learn. Some constructive criticism, instead of using Di, it’s better to use ‘ instead of i, as that is normal notation and can avoid confusion when someone decides to get more into cubing. Also, when inserting corners, using the algorithm R U R’ U’ which the white side down is more intuitive for me, and from teaching people to solve, also more intuitive for them. Last little thing, when doing white cross, you should demonstrate inserting cross pieces into the correct spot, rather than just inserting cross pieces and fixing them later. Still, good video.

SPOILER I also opened the box with the lid down, on a bar height stool that was on a tile floor. I only broke one gem.
