Listen....u all ..kannada is a language of 2000years old....spoken by great dynasties and nurtured and developed by many poets and kings like the from 3rd CE kadambas, gangas, chalukyas, banas, nolambas, Rashtrakutas, hoysala, vijaynagar, devagiri, mysore up until 19th century can u imagine how long this is...we have developed and sustained this for centuries...bangalore is bangalore is because of opportunities created here ..people are coming here to earn , for which they need to learn new skills... When they can change there work place ..how about little commonsense to understand the local history and culture and language instead of claiming and giving us locals lecture on what to speak and how to behave with outsiders...the ground reality is different..you are just sitting somewhere and giving us lecture.....wahhh...... Remember kannada is not just language it has its own struggles and history...we had great vijaynagar empire...we sustained the hindu culture and language here against all odds even after being destroyed by delhi sultanate.....now tell us is it really wrong to as the people who migrate to understand our history and culture.....? If not banglore is only for money to you guys...if any problem we face you guys are no where to be found.. you have no rights to lecture us and make such nonsensical videos to spread hatred about us.....

Thing is even if Law doesnt makes it mandatory , one should learn local language if he wants to work or study at that place!!! One should make it mandatory in their Mind!!! It goes for any language people!!! If one language takes whole part it is called Dominance no one will like it!!! Even before the separation of our State Andhra many of our people felt dominance of tamilians thats why we opposed!!! My dear Hindi speaking people, If you love ur language great!!! Keep ur love in ur Heart!!! Dont be such a baby like crying on others speaking their local language!!! If u want communication, just like people learn English, learn local Language of place where u wanted to stay!!! ATLEAST BASICS!!!!

Hindi gives you an exposure & English for jobs etc... Finally educate everyone atleast till 10th class.. to avoid this mixup

Idar ka log kaala hota hai - Hindi Hamara national language hai tumhara bhasa local hai- South ka log rakshas vamsh se hai- Gande log gandhagi kar rahe hai- This are the lines I heard my self in Trains & streets of Hyderabad & Banglore. When you have so much contempt and down look on the natives of one region and expect them to adopt your cultural & linguistic practice. Strong Reaction & backlash is no surprise. And All three South languages telugu kannada & tamil (except Malayalam) are older than Hindi/Urdu ..have inscriptions & literature in those languages from 400+AD & 100BC. Cultural practices so rooted... People love their language & culture. Arey bhai pehle South ka logon ki bhasa aur culture ki toda ijjat dedo bas... try karke dekho todaa sa tumse bahut ache tareeqa se honge idar ka log. Myself can read write Telugu Hindi English,Speak tamil -

Actually, Blue collar workers from any state who work in any other state for a living should learn native language of that state. From what I understand more than south Indians these days its Kannada people.People of kannada, for example can start youtube channel that can help north Indians/other state people to learn kannada from Hindi/Telegu/Maharashtrian/Nepalese, this can actually help them make money from youtube too. But otherwise people can speak in english, if go to any other city for studying or white collar jobs. They would majorly be surrounded by people who could converse in english too. For talking to native blue collar workers, google translate will work, as it wouldn't be long conversations with them, only important small talks.
