This short film of 16 min was still better than the actual EMO musical MOVIE. This one was funnier. But still cringe. Some characters could have been better looking, like Bradley, for example. I thought this was an emo film? Well, Bradley sure gives more of a "metallic punk" kind of a vibe. Trinity, however, was not much different from the movie, except for the actor. her character is still annoying asf. I mean, trying to force a religion on someone who is not into it? Oh no, definitely not a sin.... Even the Bible says to not push religion on other people against their will. And in their song "would you mind-/ no I don't mind''" well, oit seems to be one sided.... Ethan clearly does not mind Trinity's obsession with Christianity, while Trinity herself, finds it hard to accept Ethan and tries to change him. At this point, Ethan would probably be exhausted and perhaps, even, annoyed. But this boy would be a much better actor in the movie, if they had casted him instead of the other... girlish, gay even, looking guy we got in the actual movie. Wish they had kept this and made this in a real movie though. With some actors replaced and rewritten, it would have been a great film. Not just "short"

There's a reason why this movie is not popular. Not trying to be a hater but I would like to point out some flaws. First of all, the characters are written poorly and racist. Why does the main protagonist, Ethan, looks like a girl disguised as a guy? Even Bradley gives somewhat a "dude" vibe! While our main hero here, looks like a spit-out-seaweed: weak, awkward, scared, feminine, girlish boy! Look at his eyebrows! What the hell is this? A little girl version of Andy from "The Old Guard"? The whole movie I was bothered by this. Then we have Trinity and her character being annoying for the entire movie. She literally tried to change our boy instead of accepting him for how he is. From neglecting his lyrics to luring him into getting baptized without asking his opinion first. Annoying, pushing Christian much? She even shamed Ethan for having a word "lonely" on his shirt, singing he needs Jesus! No wonder Bradley didn't like her and he let out a *sigh* right there. I would have probably done the same. I mean, who the f*** likes pushy people who think their way is the correct one? Speaking of Bradley, I get it, he is portrayed as mean, bossy and obsessed with winning. But I noticed there was something about him, which would make it seem like he did care about Ethan, in a way. For instance, he scared off Ethan's bullies at the start. Helped him take revenge for the humiliation in the Christian class and as the fire exploded, Bradley's first thing to do was to shelter Ethan with hand, making him back off, as if, protecting. And at the end, right after Ethan had left the band to join in with the Christians, Bradley felt betrayed so was the first and only one to shout "faker", making it seem like he was genuinely hurt/angry by this. And at the stage, Bradley was surprised to see Ethan take the blame for the fire in the class and was relieved to see him playing the final song with the band. Not to mention, Bradley and his band had sang the exact song Ethan had written before, which ofc, could have been for the reason that Ethan ditched the team just before the concert and Bradley didn't have enough time to write a new one, but even then, it seemed nice of them playing it. And at the end, Bradley said that it was a great play and invited Ethan to join them at some point after he is free from prison. He might have been a bad leader, but I think he did care about Ethan in his own way. Oh yeah, he was a racist😂 He shared clear dislike towards, pretty much, everyone. Specially Christian folks 😂 But his moodiness and negativity is somewhat entertaining🎉The only thing I actually enjoyed about the movie. As for the the story itself - it sucks. 5 seconds in and I already dislike Trinity. Then, we have a small talk between her and Ethan, at his place, where she overreacts with "choking" on a cookie because Ethan said word LSD... and right after, we have them kissing for the first time. Rushing?? Then the llibrary scene... Cringe and gross. Usually, the main characters get to interact with their S/O a little, getting to know them and all, before kissing. And I can assure You, this movie would still be telling its story, if Ethan and Trinity hadn't kissed, or hid in the closet and talked about *things*, but instead, hanged out and went on dates. It would still be seen as a threat to Bradey and band, as Trinity's time spent with Ethan, would take an effect on him. We would still have the same story and it would be less cringy. I get it - Ethan - a boy who tries to belong somewhere. Making friends and feel accepted. Nice. But I wouldn't say him ending up with Trinity is the best ending. I mean, she literally tried to change him, completely ignoring boy's right to remain as he is. Even just as much as to join their band, Ethan had to get baptized! It is not something You can erase from the history just like that! It is a big deal. While joining Bradley's band, he didn't need any of it. All Ethan needed, was a guitar and a skill. Nothing else. No pathetic baptizing or chanting stupid texts from the Bible just to get in a band. At this point, knowing that Bradley wanted to win and impress his idol.. had there not been such "talent show" happening in the first place, I bet, Ethan would feel accepted in the band, as the only reason the atmosphere was full of frustruation and desperation, is because of the show

My SSD where I had all the movies downloaded died, I was really sad knowing that I would never be able to find this movie again... UNTIL I FOUND THIS!!!! YESSS!!! I am so happy! I'm glad this is the legal upload as well and I hope youtube does NEVER remove it. Me and my sister loved this movie! I remember when she put it on netflix in 2018 and I was like "EWWW a musical", then as we were watching it I was loving it, and it was then when I got it in my pc to watch any time I wanted.

This movie feels like a time capsule - it's a scathingly accurate and satirical portrayal of what it was like to be in high school in the 00s. And as someone of that time, I can't get enough of it!
