What great races! Not sure why the video is so bad. It wasn’t like that back in 2000 on tv. I would like a good sound man to enhance the sound of the 2 strokes to catch the loud screaming sound and then when the men talk maybe turn it down a bit or have the men talk louder which would bring more excitement

Besides Ricky ... McGraths one of his biggest issue... he start his own team and no longer has access to all of the upgrades like suspension and tires

"Yea, I like racing in the mud.", (said by several racers in post race interviews.). We never hear a racer saying that today. All a privateer has to do today to win a national or SX main,---is get good in the mud. Too lazy and pampered to over water a practice track once every 3 weeks if they don't get enough rain. These guys---were better racers. Sorry kids. You ignored them.

At least during MC's reign we fans had MX to speculate who was gonna win. RC didn't even give us that. Every year, we'd hear the "well, this new guy or that more talented guy is blah blah blah and RC has shown he can't do that...." talk. Then, RC would race the first moto of the season, grab an even bigger handful, and squash that theory under his boot like a bug.

Awesome NWG. Great channel. Much appreciated that you posted these so we can go back in time and watch this season. I remember coming home from a day of riding, hitting play on my VCR that I programmed to record these, only to find that some stupid ass poker c'ship or WNBA game got swapped for SX.

McGrath went on a training regiment that was wrong for SX.... he suffered serious arm-pump and running his own team... he lost all the Factory support

We were all bummed when Ricky went to Honda... and years later it was truly confirmed Honda made an $$$ offer he couldn't refuse... At that time Pro Circuit lost more riders because they couldn't or wouldn't pay our and that era Kawasaki had tight grip on their wallets

I just bought my first house in 96 and sx was so fun to watch having countless friends over making bets playing pool and darts with good friends and bailey was so good at commentating im 60 and still ride my dirt bikes got to ride for a few nationals at Southwick and Unadilla so cool to say I had a few with big boys!!!! I miss my youth and my fun its very sad how fast it all goes by

Man I miss the pond so much, especially when the track is running this direction. It sets you up for the downhill with more speed and makes it more challenging of a section. I know its not the tracks fault its gone, I just miss it.

Tortelli was my favorite rider then and this was the only race I missed recording in 2000. Thanks for letting me see Torelli show why he was the only guy RC said he ever worried about. Steel City 2000 is a good race too with the massive jump some of the 250 guys do in the table tops is MASSIVE!.

Never realized back then how bad the coverage of the actual racing was. Weird replays, graphics taking up the whole screen, and davey coombs onboard videos all during the middle of a moto, PLUS all the commercials lol we’re spoiled nowadays.

Unreal Gold is fine, Unreal Evolution with its mutator is another story..More difficult to beat in godlike level without dying even once.

RC was on a 2 stroke in 05 indoor and then a 4 stroke in the outdoor and here in 06 he is on a 4 stroke again and so is Stewart..did everyone have to ride 4 strokes at this point???
