      I really appreciate your comment and thank you for watching! Im certainly not a professional, but I have a little bit of experience from a few sets of heads Ive done in the past. You are 💯 correct, the exhaust port is the downfall of the SBF head, going to a slightly bigger valve would have done wonders, but I wanted to keep this video simple and budget oriented! I have a set of Gt40 heads that I plan to do a slightly more advanced port job on in a future video. Thank you subscribing, it means a lot to me!

To get 350-375hp out of a 302 you will probably need a set of AFR or trick flow heads and a good cam. I also have a newly rebuilt 5.0 HO with a B cam and GT40P heads (long block) sitting there and considering sticking it in there with a carb setup. Just trying to decide whether to use those P heads, port some factory cast iron or go aftermarket aluminum. The best option is expensive, but if I could get 350 HP I could easily crack 11 second quarter miles in that light weight Falcon, which is good enough. You can fix this by buying a set of balljoint spacers, but the easiest way is to have a set of sn95 ball joints pressed into the foxbody control arms! The tie rod ends you can get away with using the stock ones.

    I have a 1997 460/7.5. When i first got it, the fuel mileage was absolutely terrible. I installed a wide band O2 sensor on it and it was running at about 10/11 to 1 on fuel ratio. I did some reading and it was recommended to replace the ECM. I replaced the ECM and my fuel ratio stays at 13 or so. I went from about 10 miles per gallon to 16/17. If I had an older 460/F series truck, I would put a Holley throttle body fuel injection system on it. If you have one of these and want better power and fuel economy, install a wide band and go from there. These engines are so large that a slightly off fuel ratio makes a huge difference.

What you see me using in that video is actually diesel fuel, I was testing it out as a degreaser, but honestly it doesn’t work very well and it smells kinda bad! I think you’re right! Maybe if I really wanted to squeeze every ounce of economy out of it I could get smaller street tires and convert over to Maf, but Im ok with what it’s getting now. Im really trying to get some more power out of it, I had saved up to buy the banks headers and exhaust kit but they discontinued it 😳

    Hey Blitz, I just now found this...Nice work, good to see you're very sensible in your approach...Love seeing that you didn't try to reinvent the wheel on such a tricky manifold, you're just mainly trying to equalize the flow of the worst ports to the best ones...Excellent video for the home porter in us all!!...Major Kudos, keep up the great work!!...

      I appreciate your comment! I love the simplifying things, yes there are people who can completely reshape a port and improve it, but the majority of the people (even most professionals) do exactly that Im doing here. I also have a video about porting E7 heads that seems to be getting some appreciation, because I made it as simple as possible without using any of the lingo and confusing words that professionals usually do 🤣. Thanks again my friend!

    I'm a nerd too I guess? I'd rather spend money on a quality tool, even if I might only use it once. That way, I'll still have a quality tool to use if there is a next time, rather than buy a cheap tool that is only usable once! and I'd rather do that than pay someone good money to mess up, which happens most of the time. Good video!

      I appreciate you watching! I definitely do relate to what you are saying! Sometimes I splurge on tools whenever I know that I will use them for something important, but I also buy cheap stuff when I need something disposable 🤣! There are a lot of people who think like you and me, people who rather learn to do a job and to make sure it is well done! Take care my friend! 🫡

      It works well enough in my opinion, the first time I tried using it I didn’t have a punch so the blade would jump around, I also broke a few blades, but once I used it correctly it worked really well

    What did you use to get the spot welds drilled? I have a cheapo Amazon bit. I'm about to use it for my core support.

      I got that one from habor freight Im sure it’s the same thing 🤣! Works good if you use a punch right in the middle of the spot weld

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987 Před 2 měsíci

      The bolts that hold it to the intake where loose that’s why that one was whistling like that! But I know what you mean, I had one that would whistle like that and what I did is pulled out the IAC valve and I smoothed the inside casting on the throttle where it mounts! That took care of it, try that if you ever have that situation 🫡💯
