@@unclealig das sind lauter Einzelbilder, die dann zum Zeitraffer zusammengefügt wurden. Ich habe eine relativ kurze Belichtungszeit von 1-2s gewählt, damit das sich bewegende Polarlicht nicht verschwommen abgebildet wird.

Saw it in South Africa. It was glorious. Many people thought the earth was ending. I heard next year there might be a stronger solar which might cause devastation on electronic devices.
@@asandax6 religious extremists will constantly believe the world is ending, it’s the only way they can continue to believe what they do. In regards to being able to predict solar flares and coronal mass ejections, there’s just no reliable way to do that

Ich habe mal am Flughafen in Frankfurt versucht, eines der startenden Flugzeuge direkt vor der Sonne abzulichten. Hat leider nicht geklappt, obwohl ich viele Möglichkeiten hatte, mich umzupositionieren. Das mit einem Flieger auf Reiseflughöhe hinzubekommen, ist echt eine One-in-a-Million-Aufnahme. Glückwunsch!

There is quite a lot of air traffic above us. When I saw the contrail heading "for the sun" I changed th camera to video mode, but it was pure look that it crossed right in front of the sun.

Just curious what equipment drone etc. you're using
The longer focal length shots were taken with my Nikon Z6 and a 300mm PF with a 1.4x converter. The underwater stuff was made with a dji Action 2. For aerial footage I used dji Mini 2 and Air 2s drones.

I travel to Pakistan this summer May/June time to the world largest glacier's zone but there the glacier's are melting on a fast pace. People have to understand that climate change is important and everyone have to put take thier stacks in stopping it.

yes, this is a jökulhlaup, a runoff of meltwater caused by the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull
very nice. Just curious but how much of the glacier has disappeared in your life time?
Actually a lot. When I climbed Piz Buin together with my uncle who was a mountain guide in 1988, the usual route was up the Wiesbadener Ridge (Wiesbadener Grätle). A few years ago this route was closed due to the increased amount of crevasses, and also due to the fact that the glacier has become much lower, and the part of the wall now exposed is much harder to climbed. An additional factor was the increased risk of rockfall due to the line of permafrost rising, making the rockface less stable.
We used to practice crevasse rescue on The Athabasca Glacier right next to the Columbia Icefields in the central Canadian Rockies. Where once were 60 m deep crevasses is now barren rock. Amazing to see the change in a lifetime 😢
