Disappointingly, I was expecting another kind of trailer after hearing that Pearl and Dean audio - Mughal's curry house just along the road.
We all have days like that 😑
Absolutely bloody brilliant :)
excellent catch 👍first time I've heard it
I wish I hadn't, its insulting
Nice vid Geoff. Good to see you there. As we all said, what kind of "whistle" was that...
excellent shot 👍
Nice video. I caught it at Cuffley.
Hi Geoff, nice one,... Dave.
thanks Dave
What was that whistle?
awful!!!!
Love it …..all amazing stuff…..thanks for showing
excellent shots👍 seeing it at king's cross and Grange park also do you know the time it's leaving southall loco services for king's cross
No routing/timing into KX available yet
Very nice but why BLACK & WHITE
Because it was a grey miserable damp day, with little natural vibrance, there were few modern-day visual references in the shot, and I thought it would add a touch of nostalgia.
Lovely shots
thank you
Got to see tangmere today in Carlisle while dropping my son off and as there was 20mins before she was due to depart I shot through to a spot between Armathwaite and cumwinton and boy did she smoke the place out as she past. Got a good video.
No-one comes and watches when I managed to parallel park my Focus!
Yes, we have lost the Tropicana pool and the Old Pier in Weston -super-Mare. Both were up and running in the 50's,not long after WW2. At that time money was short. So progress since that time not evident.
This will never be restored in our Lifetime
The steam engine wouldn’t stop whistling until the fitters climbed up and knock the whistle valve in place.
you.d of thought they.d have gone another rut like the motor way to tilbury docks also was this the item that blocked the orset road on another day getting to tilbury area because if I know right they can only b roads not motor ways plus its all by roads to tilbury docks ,bet that was fun to ?
Brilliant mate. 14 up, that's unusual these days
Love this video! I caught it arriving and departing at Chertsey.
Great capture. This is the best one Ive seen ever. I caught the Royal Scot at Chertsey
thank you
Got yourself a drone then?
yep, the Sony 4k camera broke, irreparably, so I decided to change tack. DJI mini 2 se, and a separate zoom H1N audio recorder to dub the soundtrack on. Got my drone flyerID and operator ID, it's a whole new set of skills to learn.
@@MrKnowwun Thought about getting one myself but don’t know which model to get. Also would add to the complexity of filming trains. Very much undecided at the moment.
@@TheWesternExplorer It is much more complicated, much more thought and prep needs to go into location choice. Yet on the other hand opens up other locations. I doubt anyone has ever filmed that location as it's inaccessible by foot.
@@MrKnowwun Still thinking about getting one. I can think of many locations which are inaccessible for photography such as junctions and viaducts.
excellent drone footage 👍
thank you
Hi Geoff, Nice one .....Dave 😃👍👍👍👍🚂
I❤that rebuilt Merchant Navy!
That's what you call a real train, not like this modern crapp .
this is amazing
Seagulls are wonderfull😂
till one steals your chips.
@@MrKnowwun One stole my ice cream. Now he has a bounty on his head.
Have you started droning?
on and on.
Lovely - my home town... I miss it so much. x
OUCH
OMG
Wandering at Speed! If you're on about the 'sideways' movement of the locomotive, it's called Hunting! Hunting is when a locomotive 'rocks' from side to side at speed. It's due to the Motion (the piston thrust) on either side of the locomotive being (deliberately) not applying thrust at the same time. This makes the locomotive alternatively push it wheel flanges against the rail on either side of the track, producing the rocking motion when viewed from the front. It's called Hunting...
Err no, I was not "on about the "sideways" movement of the locomotive". Had you read the intro you would have seen the tour was called " Wandering 1500".
Oliver a superb locomotive.
Watching this on my birthday 20th May 2024
Found out the music is ride the white horses by Jeff Wayne
This is fantastic, completely drowns out those alarm noises
your remarks are unfair to Tangmere

Loved that whistle as a kid and still do!
Is ollie Cromwell in overhaul and when is it due back on the mainline as it is a sight to be hold at speed liz hall lincoln
Watched her pass my school in Woking on many occasions, pulling the Bournemouth Belle. School was Monument Hill County Secondary School.
Fantastic , my late Dad worked at Stratford and in the steam days his regular loco was 70040 "Clive of India" , running the Liverpool Street to Norwich main line.
Snap, My dad, Joe Painting, was a driver at Stratford, doing the same runs., His Fav was 70037 "Hereward the Wake". He cried the day it shed a rod up North somewhere, and was towed to the scrap line.
Hi Geoff, Nice one ....Dave 😄👍👍👍👍🚝🚝
thanks dave
Wow flying skotsman
Wow flying skotsman
I was at the station
How about flying the drone in tandem with the train. I don't mean actually next to it though, I just mean follow along side it for as far as you can.
you mean track it? the drone max speed is about 35 mph, D1015 was doing about 50, so panning and tracking is possible but it would pull away given flying space (ie no trees) Its only my second time out with the drone, so I am ramping up the flying skills
OH WOW that's amazing you really captured the glory of the class there, did you use the sound from another mic as I can't hear the drone at all?
yes track side fixed camera with sound, sound track synched to drone video - drone flown far enough away to not be picked up by mic, its a quiet drone anyway
Amazing to see it at speed and on mainline again
And fully loaded 500+ tonnes
@@MrKnowwun wow made it look easy
