Please can I know the meaning of the song(English Lyrics) I love it, but would love it more if I could understand what they are singing 😩😩😩. I want to marry a Bayangi man only because of this song 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

This is Mariam Makeba, an internationally recognized musician and Human rights activist that hails from South Africa, and she was exiled from her own country like many other freedom fighters, for speaking out about the atrocities that were happening to her people due to the apartheid regime. But what she says here basically speaks to the atrocities performed by the European colonial powers during their occupation of African countries towards the African people. And some one in the comment section has the nerves to say that she’s not making any sense…

What she's saying here is true. I never knew my indigenous history until I was out of the academics. Our histories as colonized countries were always handed over by the conquerors and injested it in the educational systems.

  • @LSheWolf84

You’re clearly hard at hearing or not very bright… if you have nothing nice to say, I suggest you don’t say anything at all, and especially about a history and a struggle that doesn’t concern you, or better yet, find video that makes sense to you.

@@reginalddithapo7922because she used "that" instead of "this", I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say she agrees with Mama Mirriam that what the colonizer does makes no sense at all.
