i am growing these melons my plants have an abundance of flowers . its been about 6 weeks since planted , but i have not seen any melons growing! i have plenty of bees on plants! my question is, can i self polenate? can you help by helping me identify the male and the female flowers? can you send pics? of each? or a video showing me the male and female and how to self polenate? thank you for your advice and help!!!!!!

I planted seeds in my bougainvillea baskets and they all sprouted so now I’m a little concerned about overcrowding but you know what like you said gardening is supposed to be fun and I’m excited to see what happens. If I need to thin them out or move them I will. I’m excited for the smell of the flowers ❤

I've heard you need to have some type of holding for the tendrils to grow up along. Does this not affect them letting them grow freely like that?

Got my seeds from Marketplace and have lost the info. My squash is tan/orange colored with lots of warts when mature, but size and shape of Lunga di Napoli .....wonder if it is some sort of hybrid ....

didn't the Egyptians loose their teeth because they used stone to grind their grains? small amounts of stone would enter the flour and would slowly wear away the tooth enamel leading to painful tooth loss? not sure if that applies here.

I have a small field of naked oats nearly ready to harvest. This is a good viddy to find, but I have some questions- what are the signs that the oats are ready to harvest, is it just the most dry oats that will thresh out at this stage, and why not use a scythe?

Is there a good shelf life for the seeds? I ask because I currently live in a four-flat, but hope to move to a place with actual land/soil in the next 12-18 months, and would ideally like to start growing some of m own food.
