    Hello. I am having my first look at one today. From the device the Span frequency range is 250-3285 mHz. It is not helpful to not be able to reduce the span range here. Needs to be a whole lot narrower. How do I do it please?.

      I use a Mini-Circuits ZFDC-10-182+, which Mini-Circuits rates for use at 10 to 1800 MHz. Its three ports use female BNC connectors. It's a transformer type DC; a loop type would be very large and expensive even in the UHF spectrum we use for wireless audio. There are numerous other suitable models from Mini-Circuits and other manufacturers. Make sure the one you choose covers the appropriate frequency range.

    • @RFExplorer-rd9pi
      @RFExplorer-rd9pi Před 3 měsíci

      The CPU used is a 4-core, 14nm powerful Intel Atom x5 with an excellent TDP of only 2W, which guarantees the best battery duration given all internal firmware performance demands. It is expected that the user may notice 100% utilization on one core out of the 4, as this configuration provides optimal performance. This is by no means a problem, but a good use of resources. We have been fortunate that Intel still has stock of this model because newer models are more power-hungry and offer no additional benefits for this application.

    If attenuating you antenna signal by 6db helps the receiver, would it not HELP to passively split an antenna to, say.. 3 receivers? The supposed problem with that is db loss, right? But db loss CAN be a good thing?

    I mix FOH with an iPad. My mixer & wireless rack lives in 'Monitor-World,' next to the stage. Directional antennas are too close to the performers. (Some of the wireless transmitter packs are 6' away from me.) How can I use a 'Half-wave' antenna on a mic stand instead? Do they make half-wave antennas with a mic stand adapter, like they do with Directional antennas? My antenna combiner is in the rack, so the built-in half-wave antennas don't have 'Line-of-sight' with the band. Please let me know what you recommend.

    Excellent video… I have the N9340A and love the portability over my original spectrum analyzer, the Rigol 815.. I am a “ham” and still rather clueless when it comes to using test equipment properly. My main purpose is to tune duplexers (mobile/notch and also BpBr types). Do you know of any videos showing the N9340 (either model) in use during duplexer tuning? Thank you! and Thanks for providing outstanding videos here!

Five years ago they did, but not now: 21:07 Interference filters 23:15 If you're only using one wireless mic with a whip antenna - use that, but if you have more mics, you need a distro/diversity system: 28:00 Using bandpass filters - put one on the A side and one on the B side: 31:30

      Since taking Boomer's advice I've had no dropouts. RF Venue is the place to go to solve frequency problems. That Diversity Fin you designed is a good investment.

  • @treffensaintjohnllc2913

    I love Boomer's videos. I learn more from him than anyone else. He is smart and entertaining at the same time. I exclusively purchase RF Venue's products now, though I was previously an OEM kind of guy. RF Venue's gear is expensive but worth it. *** It's Saturday late afternoon. I was thinking of watching a movie to get relaxed after a difficult week. Instead, I found myself watching more Boomer tutorials! - I'm addicted. My events that I produce are more efficient now that I've been educated through Boomer. For the past year I've not had any dropouts or issues since following his advice.

    I think the question at 37:02 is really asking: "You say around 5:25 that you need to get the antennas roughly 6 inches apart for effective diversity, so are diversity IEM packs like the PSM1000 mostly just selling you an expensive diversity solution that acts more like a single antenna - and for that matter, antennas that end up being parasitic to each other?"
