Yeah man I absolutely love mine, it's always in the rotation and is one of my favorite work knives! I've actually used it to cut electrical wires before cause I left my wire cutters on the complete opposite side of the house I was working on🤣

I enjoy Benchmade, they make some cool stuff I just don't agree with their business! But everyone has a different opinion and i respect that 100%🙏

The hidden canyon is about the only Benchmade I would consider buying. That being said as far as fixed blades go, there's such a competitive market in that price range that makes it tough to choose them over some others with higher quality materials.

That's awesome brother. A tool doesn't have to be expensive to get the job done and honestly I have prybars that I've got off Amazon that work just as well! I'll have to check that one out I don't think I've heard of it!

I definitely agree that there are things that could be improved for sure. Especially when you have companies like civivi doing basically the same thing. So it's hard to compete in such a saturated price point. Hopefully they can improve their quality and make this new budget brand something that really stands out

@@Everyday_Zach thanks, the copper Apollo has just been released by Blade and Beam today and would like to get that, i have seen many post of FLs melting pants and bags because their lights was turned on in the pocket for some reason, if the Apollo would automatically gets dimmer if it gets too hot then its a Go for me,😁

I've never had an issue with this amount of lumens getting that hot. It warms up for sure but it's not till you get about 1,000 lumens that it starts melting

We're so used to being around knives, that sometimes we forget that most other people aren't 🤣 I had that realization when I carried an otf to work and was in an 80 yr old lady's house so that's when I started carrying a slip joint for inside peoples houses

I like the ease of having a charging port on the battery itself and not having to worry about getting a separate charger. However when I looked into the USB c batteries and the standard rechargeable batteries they plug in batteries were almost double😅

@Everyday_Zach Agreed! Although, relative to a $300 light, a few extra bucks for a much more convenient charging solution seems somewhat reasonable.

That's a solid blade man, I have yet to be able to grab one but I've handled enough of them to know that you can't go wrong with one🔥

I would say this is the best bang for buck option on the market right now and the fact you can get it internationally shipped is amazing! Vault is nice for specific circumstances but definitely not the ideal for displaying.

Definitely battery life is a key when talking about lights. This is for sure just my walk around the house/light duty outside light. I’ve still got my baton 3 for my work light. And the goal is to definitely make this my job🤣 will it ever happen? Who knows man, I’m just having fun.

Hey brother, the nice thing with these compound grinds is they maintain the same edge angle through the cutting edge. So if you set it at 25 in the hollow grind, it’ll be 25 at the flat grind as well. So if you have a fixed angle sharpener, set it to your angle (I like 25 degrees) and you’ll be good from there! Hope this helps.

​​@@mordfustang9197 If you do one continuous angle, the bevel height is gonna be different because of how much thicker the flat ground section is behind the edge. There's nothing objectively wrong with doing this, but some people don't like how it looks. 25 degrees per side is a ridiculous angle to sharpen a folding knife at, but I guess the positive is that it would minimize the size difference between the two grinds. It's a massive sacrifice (like literally a 75% reduction vs 15dps) in edge retention, though. Sharpening a folding knife at 25dps is objectively wrong. The Chinese OEMs only do it because it tricks novices into thinking they're getting a thin grind because the bevel is small. Edit: my beater XM24 is 17dps. I use it to baton, chop, pry... All the things you're not supposed to do with a folding knife.

I gave my personal opinion to a question. Is 25 DPS for everyone? Absolutely not but he asked how I sharpen my knife. I beat my knives to crap and have found that 25 DPS holds up to heavier use in my experience to shallower angles. Again this is just my opinion and everyone is welcome to theirs as well. I haven’t noticed too much a difference in bevel thickness when sharpening. But maybe I’m doing it wrong🤷🏻‍♂️ I appreciate the comment and hope you have a great day!

Not with the way the holes are lined up, but you can tap through the kydex with a drill bit and drill a new mounting hole. That’s what I did with mine and it’s been holding up great!

100% agree, American made doesn’t always mean better quality, in some cases yes it does, but not always. Would love to pick up a tanto version sometime

I bought it because I like the brand, the $50 is a lifetime no question warranty, I can customize the way the inside is set up. It’s a sturdy bag I’ve gone through 5-6 bags over the last year and half and this is the one I’ve liked the best. Plus half the bags on the market now are in this price range or more without everything I’ve mentioned.

😂 and the “edc” gear inside has not signs of wear and tear 😂
