I had mine yesterday. I was so anxious and very worried. I had mine in LLandough in south wales. The staff were fabulous and I had the sedation and it took all the stress away immediately. Little uncomfortable with simply the passing of some gas due to the air put into the bowel. Thankfully nothing serious found but I’m pleased now I had this. I watched this video and it is spot on as to what to expect. Thank you to the lovely staff and this wonderful lady - you helped a very stressed 47 year old awaiting the procedure. Thank you.
perfection in a form of irresistible toes soles arches heels ankles and legs
Had mines on the 1st July , no sedation , was ok but a few cramps & was quite uncomfortable , but got a great result
Hello
Thanks for the helpful information. This is so much better than disinformation on the ignorant and incompetent r/colonoscopy. But the infamous reddit site is generally a sewer anyway...
Good overall summary of the cognitive issues Long C19 sufferers experience. Although this focuses primarily on the cognitive aspect, and the physical symptoms were touched on, the physical symptoms of Long C19 are just as debilitating. As described they all interact and combine to be a tough daily challenge 😢.
What happened to you
absouloutly even if the abusive person dies.i think there needs to be tougher consquences for being abusive to nhs staff and if you abuse them you should be banned from all nhs care including emergency care for life.
On my 2nd one was painful had to stop coz it hurt too much
Could not listen because of extremely irritating background noise
I wish to come and interview me
How could that be

I had one yesterday, new years eve . Strange and uncomfortable but absolutely not painful. Dont be put off , get it done ❤
Did u have sedation?
@@skylimit8250 yes,
They offer you alternate . Gas and air instead of sedation
Most comprehensive explanation! Thank you !

My experience was not good. I had mine less than a month ago. I opted for sedation and painkiller, but i feel they just put water in my hand. I felt a lot of sharp pain and they just kept saying move to another side. I was wide awake and not relaxed. Very miserable looking people in the room and did nothing to help me or make me feel better. The nurse i saw before i went in, had said if you feel pain theyll probably give gas and air or something. When i came out she asked how i got on. I told her and she was surprised. I hope i never have to have that done again!! That was raigmore hospital in inverness scotland.
My doctor said 24 hours not 48
I'm having mine January 25th for the second time
Crazy, here in the US, you are knocked out. No way I’d let anyone do this without being asleep. Strange how they can do it over here with sedation, yet this Dr says they can’t.
@rohandhanota9944 I think that is the dumbest reply I’ve ever read. 😏😂
Had one today, only got some xylocain for my throat, I'd rather do a boxing match with a guerilla than do this again, worst part was feeling the camera touching the walls in the stomach.
The prep is the worst bit ,you get to know the toilet very well
Never again will I endure such a pain. They didn’t give me anything for the pain that actual procedure caused me🤬 It’s not pain free..
Sorry to hear that. I'm worried as I'm having it done next week and they asked me would u like any sedation?
@@skylimit8250 I would definately have sedation with it!
How do they put u to sleep I be haveing one in December
It worked guys…. I burned my hand making noodles, I’m good no blisters or swelling 😊
Omg same I was just straining my noodles and the boling water poured over my hands
Having my 4th in two days am grateful because I always have polyps so I’m glad when it’s over
Happy birthday enjoy Happy Birthday🎉
Is this women made of steel or was she sedated!? They are all lying!😅 29yo and On gas and air It hurts more than labour pains and is extremely similar in feeling to labour pains.. you feel the camera from start to finish... it hurts like hell all the way in, especially around the corners and when they blow your bowel up... the only part I felt without excruciating pain was the camera coming out ..... maybe it was just the NHS surgeon at treliske in Cornwall that is extremely rough ... mind you they forgot to give me gas and air before it started
27 yrs old. Convinced myself i had colon cancer because my tummy suddenly became so gassy overnight! Also had blood in stools that time which made me worry more. Pushed for a colonoscopy and nothing was found. Hope this helps. Until now I am still gassy after 6 months but I have peace of mind now. No more health anxiety
im 15 and dealing with those 2 symptoms as well, do u think i should get a colonscopy? i went to a doctor and he said i was fine but im not convinced so im taking blood tests lol, i feel like a colonscopy is NEEDED for the peace of my mind
@@dtbnfl2 hi! If you have the money for it then go for a colonoscopy for peace of mind. But hear me out! You may also consider listening to your doctor. They know way way better than us! I didnt listen to my 3 gastroenterologists when they said I didnt need to undergo colonoscopy. I hope that you will not worry like me. It almost ruined my entire year!

@@janinaaguilera1704 yep currently i have the flu, and i’m just extremely worn out, but idk the blood tests just came back and it said i was completely fine and wasnt lacking ANYTHING + if my flu goes and other symptoms are persistent i’ll probably go and get one (if my mom lets me she thinks im faking it all lol)
I got my first one today and it was good they found nothing I was clean thank God I am.49 years old . But all is good prep was tough but otherwise I am glad I get regular physical and blood work and so I know all is good
In the US they put you out. I don't think I would have one if I was awake. I don't want to know till they say you can go home.
Oi mãe tudo
I have to do a colonoscopy for the rest of my life due to colon cancer. Never feel pain, the sedation is wonderful, is the preparation that I don’t like, but i have no choice.
I've had loads of them both kinds , was meant to have one this year but useless gastro dr in London said got to wait till 2025 as had one last year when I never it was year b4 just hope polyps arnt back and arnt bigger already had my stomache removed and some of my bowel.
I have the camera every 6 months got lot of polyps
