Yeah, I've got parts 1-5 and Freddy's Dead on South African ex-rental.
Nicely made film, captures the late Victorian atmosphere of Whitechapel. Unsettling thought that the murderer walked past those buildings 131 years ago.
I saw at the end of your video there along with halloween 4 you have the south african ex rentals of halloween 5 and 6 as well? How are you getting these? Please give me a tip or help me find these , you must have a contact or someone you know here if you are fining these without being in the country?
Darryn, it took me years to track down the South African Halloween tapes. I have the ex-rentals of parts 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. I don't know how many hundreds of emails I sent, but eventually I got lucky from various sources - secondhand shops, former collectors, etc... I'm only in contact with one SA collector nowadays, and his name in Markus Raj Gericke if you want to try and find him on Facebook. I'm not saying he'll be able to help you, but you could try.

Bill thanks for putting me on to Marcus, while he doesn't have anything for me( in fact he sold off his halloween 4 and is looking for it again himself) it was good chatting to him and getting some tips. Are those some of the murder locations?
One or two, yes: the exact location where Polly Nichols was found on Durward Street, and then walking up Hanbury Street where Annie Chapman was killed. Otherwise, some surrounding streets that retain buildings that existed in 1888, including - of course - the famous Ten Bells public house which was frequented by most of the victims.
Very interesting man. Nice to see how the lovely old buildings are maintained. Here in south africa any old building is just left to rot especially in the CBDs.

@@Horizon344 not great to be honest. Government corruption continues, all city's and towns are run down with terrible services. Crime on the increase and hardly any jobs for the youth. I am looking at moving to Canada or Australia in the next few years. A real pity as it a country with such potential.
@@darrynoosthuizen4364 I'd heard as much, mate, sorry to hear it, but it was inevitable after 1994. At some point there's going to be a civil war between the ANC & Inkatha, or factions of the ANC amongst itself, & when the country is wrecked totally, the natives will turn on the remnants of the Anglo-Dutch colonials, in the spirit of "if we can't have it, you won't either", as they did to the Rhodies. If I were you I wouldn't wait for that, as hard as it will be leaving. I'd think twice about Canada, as it will be a majority 3rd World demographic within 25 years on current immigration trends, & that way lies where SA is bound.

How on earth did you find the south african version? I used to own it here in the 90s been looking for another for years.
A lot of hard work and endless searching... At one stage I had three copies, as it's my favourite tape and I couldn't get enough, but I'm down to just one now as people made offers I couldn't refuse. If I find a spare in future, I'll let you know.

If you don't mind me asking(as you did all the work) where did you find it? I'm in south africa and I can't even find one.

3:56 it says Director's Cut on that tape so was the initial release cut down for violence or something or is there extra scenes we've never seen?
They released a "FSK 16" cut version, and this "FSK 18" Director's Cut, which should be the uncut version of this movie, but apparently there is still one scene missing at the end. No extra scenes here. (This movie was later released in a cut and uncut version on DVD and Blu-Ray.)
