"But you do get a lot of ideas when you don't sleep that you wouldn't normally get." And I am OK with that. I actually have been Amy Casey's roommate twice and I will attest to the fact that sleep is a paralytic to the muses. I was in a part of the house writing (poetry, lyrics, songs) and Amy in her studio painting or sewing. We would go a couple days and not see the other until we remembered that we have to eat or drink so we won't die. I miss those days. I had to get older and lose the simplest things to realize how perfect it was the day I threw fits over not being able to get the perfect version of what I was doing. Silly human. The best things happen by chance. And sleep deprivation.
