38:41 - 38:55 Pastor makes a joke about school being back in session this month, "Christian" parents in the audience celebrate that they don't have to deal with their kids anymore when school kicks in, and Pastor then says he's rejoicing as well. None of these people realize that this seemingly harmless joke conveys the message to single folks and couples that don't have kids that kids are nothing but a burden, a curse, and a scourge. And then they wonder and can't figure out why the younger generation like myself doesn't ever want to get married and start families of their own. But yeah, children are a blessing, right? This guy spent more time talking about himself than actual scripture. I have absolutely no problem believing this guy has trouble listening to people. The rare times scripture was read, it was just to lead into a story about this guy.
The video of the houses on the background were pretty cool! Great sermon as well. I am preaching on these verses and used this sermon as prep. Alot of great information.
