My son’s and I go to hotel

Flying out of Toronto in July free comp flight and 3 nites at Caesar's you could probably get in on it as you and your friend have a Caesars card, leaves July 6 and returns on 9th. Usually the offer is either Trop or Harrah's this one includes Caesar's.

Everyone has known for at least a decade now that the Flamingo is a total dump.

Wow, I'm surprised they haven't finished renovating. They were renovating the Go King rooms when I was there in 2017 in a different tower - forget which one but it was next to a round night club. My room was on a higher floor (49 or something? Maybe 29?) and had a grate over the window - I thought it was to keep people from jumping, but maybe it was an LED sign? Have you got any hints on *not* getting your food frozen in those fridges? I had a fruit bowl from the old CVS and a bottle of Coke in the fridge. Left for a few hours came back and they were frozen solid! I can't figure out what I did wrong. I did try to get a salad but it all looked bad, when I asked about it I was told it was because I was there on a long weekend (it was a Friday) and they wouldn't have fresh food until the beginning of the week. I wound up with a $7 slize of very oily pizza. I would also still love to know what the black mass (cloud?) was that was in front of the window - it was very definitely *not* Bugsy Siegel - I would have been happy if he showed up and booted that thing out. I was not on the side with view of the old MGM Grand so not sure if there was anything to do with that. Can't seem to get an answer. I will say I *loved* the location. I walked up to the Miracle Mile and down to Venetian, even across to Ceasars and over to Paris. Got to go up the Eifel tower in the middle of the night (this is how bad I did not want to go back to that room), had a blast walking and exploring. I did attempt to ask for a different room but was told nothing was available. I don't think I'll get back to Vegas before next year - would have gone in December but moving expenses are continuing to mount. Would love to see the new Speigel's Disco Show over at the Linq once it opens. Thanks for the video!

It’s unfortunate about the condition of this hotel. People are forgiving because they think it was built in the 50s, but most of that hotel is a lot newer. There are little food and lounge options, and the Cromwell isn’t much better. Finding a place to sit down and eat is a challenge on the promenade, and Ceasers Palace is still a hike and then a monster property. I’d stay at the flamingo if I lived there out of sheer curiosity but I can’t see going to the trouble of taking a long distance vacation to go there.

I usually go to Vegas 3 times a year for a 4 day trip. Always solo. Things change so I need or thought hey why not change directions?!!! Detroit. I figured I would visit for 3 days and have NO car. Fly in etc. I suppose staying on the Windsor side without a car is not recommended. How do you feel about a Tues - Thurs visit or Wed - Fri? Just something to get away. never been to Detroit before. Oh also do you have a twitter or X account? What is it?

I love the Tropicana. Rooms okay but great dining options. I live only 80 miles away. Stayed at Ceasars in March. Nice soak in tubs. No dining options. Go to vegas every September. Planet Hollywood for comped room that has nice soaking tub.

Quick glance I just saw Tropicana in the title and was like how old is this video lol. The view is great (during the day) lol. The food did look good, nice that they have a lot of choices for food. lol it's like they brought you all the stuff to make your own room, I wouldn't be making the bed... what am I at home! lol. I feel like the mini fridge that's full is a Vegas thing. I haven't traveled too much but every time there is a mini fridge it's empty so I can put stuff in. Great video, it has 2 things I love a casino and a beach! Thanks for sharing

I love this hotel n casino sk much fun here I can't get anuff

I'm trying to decide between the FV Terrace Studio and the FV Terrace Suite. Any suggestions? The pricing for my promotion is about the same at the moment, so I'm wondering if it's worth going with the Suite, or sticking with the Studio. I think I'd prefer being in the Boulevard Tower but it doesn't seem like the Terrace Suite is available in that tower.

I totally agree with your review on Skylon Tower. The food did Not impress me at all & I was disappointed with my dinner. However, it was an experience to eat in a revolving restaurant, a little tricky stepping on & off, still nice. Would not do it again. I will take your recommendation & try The Keg for some good steaks next time or even go on the US side & go to a local Bar & Grill in Hyde Park for the one & only Buffalo Pizza & wings!

They are currently in a battle with the Wynn. A lot of employees have left the Wynn for Fontainebleau, including one of my patients-i’m a nurse practitioner. I don’t like to patronize businesses that treat their employees poorly. So, a point for Fontainebleau. It is beautiful, and it seems to line up better with my values.

Saw this show pre Covid, 2019 was in the upper balcony even with the stage. It was hilarious, raunchy and well worth seeing.

We saw the April 28, 2024 7:00 show. It was as amazing as the 2015 show but much more expensive. This is unfortunate because the attendance was down to about half capacity. We stayed at the Mirage in the worst room they could book us in. It was on the 19th floor 4 rooms from the elevators. These rooms are usually reserved for people who use a discount service to book a room but we booked directly. This little fact isn't known to the general public. Here's why the room sucked: The bathtub was actually rusty around the drain and looked unclean. The makeup mirror was filthy. A dresser drawer had a drawer that didn't shut all the way. I could see that maintenence had heavily greased the sliders but it didn't fix it. It took me 2 minutes to find and remove a cloth bag that had made its way to behind the drawer. The windows were so dirty that we literally could not see out during the day. When we could see out it was the back of the hotel that overlooked a lower roof top and the pool. Nobody was using the pool. There were broken slats on the hvac grids. The furniture was needing some love too. The Mirage is going to be renovated starting in July but these prices are still set for a 4 star hotel. This is a 2 star at best. Again, the show is fantastic and I'm sad that it's closing but don't stay at the Mirage.

I don't usually do the trick in vegas. Because their definition of an upgrade is not exactly my definition. My wife and I are older and all we really want is a clean , comfortable room. We usually stay off the strip and stay at a place that has a little kitchejanette.. But I have success using the trick at other places.We go, but I never ask for a room upgrade.I just openly hand them a twenty. I've had pretty much success that way

I really enjoy and appreciate your reviews. They are fair and impartial. I see a lot of reviews about the Excalibur that just bash the place. You gave your opinion and left it up to your viewers to decide on how they feel about the hotel. It doesn’t seem like that awful a property. If I was looking for a budget friendly room, I might give it a chance. Besides…you sold me on Krispy Kreme😋. Keep up the great content, and I looking forward to the next video!✌️

Great video! I sadly had to cancel Vegas this time around (due to a move that occurred as a result of not-so-nice things that are happening here in Canada rn). Hopefully will get the chance to go in December. It seems I am not meant to be in Vegas in May. I was wanting to take an Uber to Resorts World and Fontain Bleau just to check out some of the EDC things, but it looks like EDC events at those hotels are for guests only this time around. Sad that they're capping it off but I can see why they would do that.
