Tom Lehrer: A Life Through Time
A glimpse into the fantastical life of Tom Lehrer, a satirical music artist, famed scientist, and mathematician who is still alive and kicking at 96 years old (as of 10/09/2024).
The music consists of a medley (edited by myself) of some of the more well-known songs of Lehrer. Trust me when I say there were so many great ones to choose from. Not only that, but there was so much more I could have said about him and so many details I couldn't include due to lack of pictures or consistent flow - look him up, if you can, as he's led an extraordinary life.
Heavily inspired by @JamesFoxTimeTravelArtist and @craigl0902, check them out!
Music by Tom Lehrer - Any and all rights to the songs / melodies belong to him.

Walt Disney Leads Through Time

This one isn't as polished perhaps as my other videos, but I wanted to give this format a go regardless. Here's my take on showcasing each lead actor from every Disney film made by Walt Disney Studios. This does not include any Pixar films, nor any outliers such as 'High School Musical' or 'Pirates of the Caribbean.' For sequels, I did not want to include the lead actor twice, so I opted to sho...

William Russell: A Life Through Time (1924-2024)

My own tribute to one of the finest British actors to grace the television screen. Two weeks ago today, William Russell passed away, leaving behind a long and fruitful legacy one cannot mirror. As a Doctor Who fan, Ian Chesterton is naturally his most prolific role to me, but in making this video, I realised that Ian was only a blip in Russell's film and T.V repertoire. I hope you appreciate th...

Awesome video, when are we gonna get cars 2 and 3 lmao
@@THE_CLAW_04 You want a separate video for each?
I don't wanna be that guy but at the same time you would definitely be that guy to me so... Who is Queen Elisabeth II? Lol, great video though, had no clue he was still alive and kicking, faking your own death just to pose with the obituary though is absolutely hilarious.
@@THE_CLAW_04 It's very much a Tom Lehrer thing to do. 😄
Hello Taijan
Hello there!
@@TaijanDean be my fan
I didn't realise he was still alive since he has made few appearances in recent years
@craigl0902 There are so few pictures of him after the early 1970s, and almost all of them are undated. It would be nice if he made just one more appearance in public, then again, at 96, I'd probably be just as happy to sit back and let the world go by, too.
Can you do the Incredibles?
@@luisvillafane3210 That would be a great one to look into. It even featured two of Disney's original "Nine Old Men."
Joseph Gordon-Levitt strangely I never noticed I’ve seen alot of movies he was in In order I watched it first Treasure Planet (before 2015) The last Jedi (2017) Lincoln, a river runs through it, and Halloween H20 was 2023-24 idk when.
Very tempted to make a descendant video of John Smith however I couldn't get very far back with his ancestors sadly.
@JamesFoxTimeTravelArtist I took a look into his family tree, and as far as I can remember, I could only go back to his great grandparents. You might have more luck than me if you know where to look.
YESSSSSSSS
I never knew the guy who played monk from the show monk is in this movie
@GlennSkywalker2305 My friend said the same thing when I mentioned Tony Shalhoub was in this.
@@TaijanDeanplease the boys 2019
Hi, that friend here, I was as shocked as you are. I then ofc went down a rabbit hole of monk and voice actors for nearly an hour annoying the hell out of @TaijanDean lmfao
Loved your Video. Never thought about the voice Actors of the Movie.
Her father lived long but became grandfather at 85,at that age he could already be great grandfather
Maybe we could see a classic doctor who companion actors and actresses timeline
@emmabou-ali1280 I did have that in the works actually until a few months ago where I ran out of space for many of them. I want to revisit the idea very soon though.
how much companions did you fill in
I mean how much companions did you manage to put in before you ran out of space
How did you make your timeline? One detail I like (as also seen in The Time Travel Artist’s videos), is the way the ages of the people change with each frame. Is there a technique to use? Just curious. Excellent job, by the way!
I also love the way the people morph into the older picture so fluidly. Unfortunately, I'm using PowerPoint in which I manually change everything on screen (ages, dates, pics etc.) for every passing year. I am looking into ways to make it more seamless.
@@TaijanDean Thanks for the tip! Videos like these are fun to watch! Can’t wait to see what else you come up with!!
3:35 made me laugh unseasonably loudly, also did not know that she was that old when sarah jane adventures started wow
Loved your Video.
@@maximilianstiegler6248 Thank you!
Wait he was born in my current state interesting and sad that no one realized it was his body
Are you considering maybe Jon Pertwee in the future? And here’s an interesting fact he actually seen the tv movie in the US before his death and he didn’t like it.
@GlennSkywalker2305 Wow! I didn't know that he had seen the film as it came out the year he passed away. I might do him in the future, as well as every other Doctor.
@@TaijanDeanIndeed! As it turned out, Jon Pertwee was on holiday in Connecticut the week before his death (where he had also passed away, R.I.P.), which is how he got to see the movie. He had praised Paul McGann’s performance but one part he didn’t like was when Eight had kissed his companion, Dr. Grace Holloway. He had written a review about the TV movie. Wish there was a way to find Jon’s review online or in print.
God tier music! Also i must apologise, my channel notifications weren't on...🙄
Quick question: Why was Auli'l Cravalho and Ryan Potter the only 2 out of sequence? (After 4:07)
I accidentally put Ryan Potter where Auli'l Cravalho should have been and vice versa. By the time Big Hero 6 came along, it had been that way for almost 40 slides. It was such a hassle that I spent 2 months wondering whether or not I should fix it. Then Bob Newhart passed away and I wanted to get the video out anyway. I do mention it in the very long description.
Lol at 2:34 the pops and dongs could make a pretty good song lol
Man, those pops as each person is born are so satisfying.
Next video after?
@@Itz_luigi-h6h Elizabeth Sladen: A Life Through Time. After that, I'll be looking into a certain Supercentenarian animator, providing I can find enough pictures.
Great Video
He was definitely the same age, just like (my favorite president) Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter is the longest-living US president in history. Hopefully, he will be 100 in October (even just before Halloween). ❤️🎉🇺🇸
Loved this amazing music
@gavinmaverick794 The music was surprisingly hard to get right. I didn't want something too slow or sad, but I didn't want something too bright and cartoony. I settled for this non copyright composition on CZcams that I found and cut into sections, which I made into its own little melody, which was repeated throughout the video. It's not perfect, but it definitely works.
Amazing job! I'll leave u to the cast videos for sure mate. Quick question, what does the yellow & red outlines mean?
I wondered if I'd be asked about the outlines. As you might have guessed, they relate to the person's lifespan and is mostly split into quarters: Green for the first quarter of their life, yellow for the second, orange for the third and then for the last 10 years of their life, the outline goes red.
@@TaijanDean ahhh ok cool
Nice can you do one for the lion king

Great job! That's actually a really disturbing story & probably why people get cremated now lol...
Yeah, I told the story to my mother and she said it was probably the most morbid thing she's ever heard.
Elmer was born January 1? New Year’s Day.?
@@TaijanDean absolutely, she's right! Now we need to figure out if he's related to Putin
@@Bailey915 According to all the records I could find, yes.

Bro
At least his wife and daughther survived
Tragically, as his wife grew older, she became blind and hard of hearing. Whilst stepping out of her home in 1931, she was hit by a taxi and succumbed to her injuries. Her daughter lived a fulfilling life, outliving all of her children (who passed away in the 1940s due to polio), and she lived until the 1970s as Smith's last living descendant. She even provided consultation for and visited the set of the film 'A Night to Remember' between 1957 and 1958.
Nice animation, Mr. Dean, bravo❤
Great! I need to get proper transitions in my videos
