We begin our journey in Piazza della Rotonda, a bustling square that has been the Pantheon’s welcoming face for centuries. Surrounded by charming cafes and lively street performers, this square is the beating heart of Roman daily life.
Inside The Temple
Step inside the Pantheon, a temple that has witnessed over 2,000 years of history. The moment you cross the threshold, you’re enveloped by the sheer grandeur of this architectural masterpiece. Gaze upwards at the awe-inspiring oculus, an open eye to the heavens, allowing sunlight-and sometimes rain-to cascade into the rotunda. As you walk the marble floors, you’ll see the tomb of Raphael, a silent tribute to one of the Renaissance’s greatest artists.
The opening times may be subject to change in accordance with religious celebrations but it’s usually open 7 days a week, from 9 AM to 9 PM.
The full ticket cost was 5 euros during the time we uploaded the video.
Entrance is free for visitors under 18.

Outside, in the center of Piazza della Rotonda, stands the Egyptian Obelisk. This ancient stone pillar, transported from Heliopolis, has seen millennia pass by. It was brought to Rome under Emperor Domitian, and now, it pairs with the Pantheon, symbolizing the empire's reach and the blending of cultures that defined ancient Rome. Standing tall, it’s a testament to the city's timeless allure.
Fontana del Pantheon
At the heart of Piazza della Rotonda, the Fontana del Pantheon captures the spirit of Rome with its intricate carvings and serene waters. Designed by Giacomo Della Porta in 1575 and later adorned with the Egyptian Obelisk, this fountain is a focal point for both locals and tourists. The fountain's sculptures, representing dolphins and masks, tell stories of ancient myths and the city’s connection to water.
It’s important to note that this square is currently undergoing renovation, so the content you’re viewing was filmed before the scaffolding was put in place. This allows you to appreciate the square in its full, unaltered glory, just as it has been admired for centuries.

Hello, can you plz tell me what is the shortest route to get to Ladadika from Aristotel 's square? I would like to visit the area around one small square with a fountain, but I don't know the name of the street. I will spend only one afternoon in Thessaloniki so I need to prepare everything in advance.

If you mean the first smaller square, Plateia Katouni, we show in this video at 12:40 czcams.com/video/P8xmOdhDE_c/video.html then it's straightforward. Go to the main Aristotelous square, by the sea. Then, looking at the sea, turn right at Mitropoleos Street and walk 500 meters to the end of the road. Then turn left and you will see that square. If you are looking for the bigger square, Plateia Morichovou, with the bars on the one side and taverns on the other, walk for some meters more, behind the first square.
