this looks delicious but why did u use ginger??it will taste like tinola if you use ginger instead of garlic..the taste of ginger is so strong..you can still taste it even if you add more salt or fish sauce...

For nilaga, I just boil the meat and onions. Then I put the vegies. That's very simple

Nilaga pero ginisa?

I do not include ginger in my nilaga and so when I watched this video, I was surprised to see you putting in ginger on the pan. You made me think if ginger would make a difference in the taste of the nilaga. I will follow your recipe next time I will cook nilaga. I always use pork hock in my nilaga or sinigang. I find pork hocks more flavorful. I also include over-ripe plantain bananas and they make the broth a bit sweeter.
