Hi I'm not entirely aware about this as it's more discussed in soul land part 2. I will try to do a video on soul land 2 and that time will look into this as well 🙂

Hmm. It's a hard question as in soul land no specific level is defined as a threshold for flying ( at least I didn't see any 🙂). So I would say as long as a soul master's spirit or any soul skill or soul bone skill helps them in flying, it's possible. Or if anyone could use soul power to support the flight as well. For example, in the case of wang dong (soul land 2), she is able to fly as she has a butterfly soul. Also xiao Ao( food soul master from soul land 1) was able to fly using the wings generated from his soul skill. In the case of tang san , he was able to fly using the soul bone got from his mom when he became the blue silver emperor.

He is currently at the middle stage of divine flame realm

If you have noticed, there are 108 steps when entering into the ancient immortal. Shi hai uses these 108 steps to understand the dao runes inside them and use them as flames to burn his body. This is something nobody has tried before and also very hard to achieve as well. He could have gone like others using one known flame as a catalyst for the divine flame breakthrough, but he took this path to have his own way following no one's path. So even a few of dao flames could make his body reach up to the others who use normal methods , that's why once he is burned using a dao flames and once he gets energy and revives, he is far too strong compared to others. You will see the difference once he burns his body using all the 108 dao flames soon 🙂.(Its actually three thousand steps in novel ). Aa the novel mentions like this below Divine Flame Realm, for cultivators, was the foundation for building divinity. Its effects far exceeded all other cultivation realms, and it decided how far one’s future accomplishments could reach. Shi Hao didn’t want to walk a path of those before him, instead wishing to step into a different heaven and earth. The Immortal Dao Flower Bud had now blossomed for the three thousandth time. Every single petal carried a type of dao, resonating with each of the three thousand bluestone paths. This was precisely what Shi Hao needed. He wanted to use the ten thousand dao as his flame, using it to ignite his body and mind, construct the foundation related to his future and undergo a complete transformation, so this was perhaps the best choice. With heaven and earth as a furnace, ten thousand dao as a flame to refine oneself, this was not something a normal person could endure. Shi Hao felt like he might be at the end of the road as soon as it began.

As I mentioned, since shi hao has learned the techniques from his supreme bones, he could imitate them perfectly well now. Thats what liu Shen mentioned in one of the episodes to shi hao that 'some thing that he is dependent upon could become a burden for him to breakthrough ' , this was understood by him after loosing his second supreme bone and realising that he could imitate the techniques even without his supreme bones. He gets his first supreme bones technique as well after cultivation using immortal stone. As to how he is able to use it even without supreme bones, these techniques were imprinted onto his flesh and blood after the removal of bone, so he could activate them anytime and without a limitation dependent upon supreme bone. Spoiler He will be getting one more supreme bone soon.
