UK racer Dale Leeks has the MaxxECU Pro Xtreme class on lockdown. After a season-opening win, he secured the number-one qualifying spot with a blistering 4.038. He was set to face class champion Chris Cutsinger in round one but got a bye when Cutsinger couldn’t make the call due to mechanical issues. With another bye lined up for the semi-final, Leeks cruised into the final with ease.
Rob Garcia, who missed the 2023 season, has emerged as Leeks’ fiercest competitor this year. These two heavyweights squared off in the final for the second time this season. Garcia grabbed the starting line advantage with a sharp .147 reaction time, while Leeks lagged with a .089. However, pre-run issues left Garcia’s bike with unsecured clamps, causing a loss of power and handing the win to Leeks, who posted a 4.040 ET.
Keep your eyes peeled because Garcia won’t go down easy at the 6th annual FuelTech Bike Bash on August 23-25, 2024. This rivalry is far from over!

4 bikes??? Where was everybody at?
There was a lot of rain in the forecast and that typically keeps a lot of people at home. This is a shame because XDA always adapts to the weather and gets the race finished.

The chain broke .
Think you will find the chain coming off and chainsawing the axle is what caused all that.....
It ripped the swingarm apart. The rim and axle came off together. I never seen one do that.
this why they had a helicopter down at mir a couple days back?
Yes I think the helicopter came 2 or 3 times.
Not for this but the mir staff on a scooter got hit bad. Then a rider went down who didnt have their helmet buckled. He was flown out also. Crazy weekend😊
A guy i ride quads with passed away Saturday. He's from Fredericksburg VA but was racing his bike at budds creek Saturday. and crashed. he wasnt even 25 yet

Wow that looked violent. Some sparks were happening just before the rear let go. I wonder what that was?
That is the chain breaking. The cahin ends up wrapping around the wheel and pulls it right out of the bike.

Yes he walked away and was in good spirits that night. He is at the hospital today however having his hand looked out to see if he has any broken bones.

My GAAWD how many ran a .6 ZERO?
I would hardly call Mark a "Rookie". Rendeluk has been riding dragbikes for yearsssss...decades really (some as fast, if not faster than Pro Street). I know he went into the 6.20's, maybe even teens' with that Turbocharged ProMod/Pro Extreme bike he had. Obviously its a totally different animal riding a "NO wheelie bar"/DOT approved tire Prostreet bike compared to a Slick-Tire/Wheelie Bar bike with a full regular lock up in it instead of the "Multi-Stage" lock up. ....still, Mark is NOOO Rookie
It was his first year and that's what defines a rookie. We know Mark's accolades in other classes, he's a very established racer. But in Pro Street he was a rookie this past year.
That G force take off is INSANE. That tire is the same as a TF dragster but smaller probably?

He won the finals of the last XDA race of the season against Haase who was his opponent in E1 in this race. The announcer is wrong.
