Elvis was very very sick his family tried to game not to do the concert but he didn't want to disappoint the fans like you said he wasn't fat his body was swelling years of the prescription drugs that he was taking did the doctors way over prescribing is what Done him in. He passed 6 weeks later he is and will always be the greatest entertainer there's nobody that can beat him😊

Jane H commenting …. Oh, that voice! It’s just so amazing & I feel very privileged that I was alive when Elvis was alive. I was in my twenties when Elvis died. So I got to see most of his movies in the 1960s & totally fell in love with him as a teenager. Elvis was a legend, as you saY. And he is still a legend, 47 years since his death. I was just thinking last night how Elvis has been dead for longer than he was alive, yet he is still having an impact in our world today. Just imagine what it was like to actually be alive when he was alive, as I was lucky enough to be. What a man! What a voice! What charm & charisma! What a performer! He was just so magnificent.

Jane H commenting …. When I was a child & not far off entering my teens, this was played often on the radio, as all of Elvis’ songs were. As a teenager, I began going to the movie theatre & watching the many movies Elvis made …. Over 31 of them. His singing & dancing, & his totally gorgeous looks, soon saw me becoming a big fan of his, by the time I was 15 & I’ve remained a big fan of his for over 50 years. When Elvis died when he was 42, I was absolutely in shock & devastated. I didn’t live in America. I lived in New Zealand, but Elvis was still hugely popular over here, & I think almost everyone felt the impact of his death. It filled all the newspapers, & television screens. It was just the most awful time, to lose someone so vibrant … someone so brilliant ….. & someone who had made it his pursuit in life to bring joy to others in his performances. As always, a great Reaction from you.

Elvis often referred to himself as an entertainer, not just a singer. He knew he owed everything to his fans & loved to see them enjoying themselves. Elvis did all his own music arrangements, with musicians & with his backup singers & even with the orchestra when he sang with one. He was just mesmerising.

Elvis could possibly change all lesbians into heterosexuals, in a fast second. He's a cure for lesbians to turn straight.

Priscilla was 21 when she & Elvis were married. They always looked happy together, but she said she needed to find herself & it could never have been easy married to a superstar, & to be surrounded by so many people all the time. It’s a shame they only had six years of marriage, & Elvis absolutely adored his daughter, Lisa Marie, & Priscilla took her off to live with her in California. Lisa Marie was 9 when her famous daddy died, & she was staying with him at the time, so such a traumatic experience for a child. Now she too has left us, & her oldest child, Benjamin, is gone too. Lisa Marie had so much heartache in her life. This is a sad song, & I don’t think Elvis ever got over losing Priscilla to another man. From 1974, his health really started to go downhill. Jane H commenting …. This was such a fun song, & Elvis loved to clown about on stage, sometimes with his musicians, sometimes with his backup singers, & sometimes with his audiences. His voice was like a fountain of gold, it was so pure & Elvis was so confident on stage. He was a master of holding everyone’s attention. He was actually known to be quite a shy man, who got nervous before performing on stage, but once he walked out onto that stage he absolutely owned it.

Jane H commenting …. Elvis had charisma in bucket-loads. He had it all, & was such a kind person too. A beautiful soul. Yes, all us ladies are having fever. Elvis knew how to get his fans to react. He only had to twitch his leg or shrug his shoulder, to get a reaction from the audience. He was such a magnificent man. Six foot of pure magnetism. I was born early in the 1950s, so still a child when Elvis shot to stardom, but in the mid-1960s, at the age of 15, I heard him on the radio & then saw one of his movies, & there was no turning back from that point on. For me the word is Magnificent. An American Trilogy has been one of my favourite Elvis songs for five decades. I’m so happy that this amazing human being, who was so kind, so generous to all those around him & to complete strangers in need, not matter what their racial background, is now being enjoyed by a new generation. I’ve been a fan of Elvis since the mid-1960s & I am still a big fan. Elvis was a megastar & an Icon. When he died at just 42 years old, the world lost one of its brightest stars, but that light will never fade. Thank you for a wonderful Reaction. It was such a joy to see.
