    I have a similar tool and it works very well,and it's very easy to remove the nails (although time consuming) if they come out with the slats.If they are rusted in and stuck you wreck the slat ends and a real pain to remove from the bearers.Doesn't work very well on euro pallets (I think that's what they're called) the ones with blocks between.

    Is your driveway level? I have a slight incline, and I'm thinking this would help and I like that there's a break "just in case."

    • @MyRepurposedLife
      @MyRepurposedLife Před 2 lety

      I've used it in several places, mostly at my daughter's house. Her driveway has a slight grade, and a concrete pad with a higher level. I can do it by myself (65 yrs) but it is easier if my son in law pushes a little on the back of the camper.

    This is one of the few bedstead benches that does not look awkward and uncomfortable. I like that the boards of the seat are nearly the same width as the spindle spacing in the back rest. You have lined up the top of the seat with the "unturned" section of the front legs which is visually appealing. The seat does look too low for comfort, but that is my usual assessment since I am very tall. The skirt in front of the seat looks the same width as the bottom board of the backrest which is also harmonious design. Too many benches made from bed frames look structurally sound but very ungainly in appearance. Your bench succeeds in both structure and beauty.
