Great! But that narrative about Yoruba origin from Nile valley is wrong. Everything started from Ground Zero, and thats why Ile-Ife is within point zero point on the latitude and longitude (equator). Even this modern Ife, where this arts are derived from is much younger than the more ancient Ife, which was more to the north of Nigeria and were same people of the Nok Culture.. Oduduwa met the Yoruba people and the throne in Ile Ife,there has been people ruling Ife as kings and Obas before Oduduwa came to Ile Ife but Oduduwa was the king who united the Yoruba people together and he was the most successful and powerful. When Oduduwa came Obatala was supposed to succeed the last king but the arrival of Oduduwa turned the whole situation around because before the arrival of Oduduwa Ife oracle has already revealed that a foreigner will be the next king if the people of Ile Ife wants progress in the land,it was not Oduduwa that made himself the king, the Ile Ife people obeyed the instruction of the oracle.Ifa Oracle directs the people of those days and elects kings and leaders back then, the people of those days also know the implication of not doing what the Ifa oracle said.Where Oduduwa came from is not the most important issue, the important issue is that the Yoruba people has been existing before the arrival of Oduduwa. Some of the art work the white man is talking about here has been produced before the Era of Oduduwa.Ile Ife existed before Benin and before Oduduwa that is bottom line, civilisation started from Ile Ife not Benin.Oduduwa was not the prince of Benin either. The Yoruba people have their language, tribal marks and tradition before Oduduwa came. The Yoruba tribal marks, tradition and language are different from the tribal marks, tradition and language of the Benin people, the Benin people should stop talking about the people they do not know anything about.Ife has been there before Benin

Oduduwa descended with chain to ile ife in his second coming. He was there with obatala during the creation in the first phase of ile ife know as ife oodaye, during this period only the 401 Orishas were in ile ife…. If u want to know more do ur research abt Yoruba mythology.

The man is saying the truth, there is no reason for the white man not to say the truth, white people are not numbskull people like you Benin people arguing without having no knowledge .Oduduwa was not the only king who came to the world in a different way,the Egyptian history and history of other countries recorded the same situation, you Benin people also said your Ogisos are kings from the sky,so i see no reason why you Benin people are making too much noise about Oduduwa who has no relation with you Benin people at all, even before Oduduwa came to Ile Ife the Yoruba people has been existing in Ife Ife.You Benin people sent your prince out of Benin not to Ile Ife,the is no reason for Oduduwa to change his name in Ile Ife as well.Non of the children of Oduduwa including Oduduwa and Oramiyan can speak a word in Benin language, the first words Ewaka spoke was Yoruba words Owo mika the words which was corrupted to Ewaka. If Oduduwa actually came From Benin his children will be able to speak few words in Benin.Oduduwa was not the father of Oranmiyan as well.Oranmiyan was Oduduwa`s grand son of because the only son of Oduduwa was Okambi.Oduduwa has only one son

My own contribution to this is that the truth history between ile ife and benin needs to be review but we can help ourselves out if we can answer this questions 1,who are the ogiso dynasty and their root? 2,When was the igodomigodo land created? 3,what was the religiou of the people of igodomigodo land ? 4,What was the name of the Ogiso crown called? 6,How was igodomigodo land created? I believe if we can answer these questions right we will get the truth, lets forget about oduduwa because oduduwa history is every fresh and clear for the historians because it was just 1000 years ago.

Shame you don't even know these basic questions about Benin but yet you guys will be arguing. Should a Benin person give you the answer now, you will disagree, It is best you can get all this your answer from the Benin royal monarch book written by Oba of Benin, on sale on Amazon or book stores! Peace!

@@oyenmwenefevbeoghogho7978 Ok thank you first am not here to argue about supremacy but to enlighten ourselves.First all the questions I asked I have the answer as a historian and researcher not as yoruba man or Benin man, secondly if you want to know the hidden information about yorubas and Benins go to Egypt,Greece , Portugal and Britain.I don't believe in any book written by any kings in Nigeria as a researcher most of the books written by our kings in Nigeria are purposely written to boost their throne and supremacy over other kings, even the number one history book of Nigeria that you will found in any countries libraries or in universities the book of samuel ajay,if you are a historian and researcher you will know that samuel ajay books reviewed many truth but also hidden many truth because he wanted to boost oyo over others because he was an oyo man.Let me give you one info go read Jacob's book his from benin and his one of benin historian that I respect alot because of the information I got from his book when I was making research on lagos and it environment.

If really are an historian or acedamic, you would know it is best to get the right straight from the right person because none of us know his family history than himself, he is the direct descendant, not you or me. Although some of your people claim it as if they are his biological father or they were there!🤣🤣

Please, before you do an historical review between Benin's and ile ife kindly pay attention to Yorubas history of the man that came from their part that later become their Oduduwa and the Benin historical version of Prince Ekialaderain known as Izuduwa corrupted Oduduwa. It is also important to respect each tribes base of from the older maps of Africa that specifically shows more lights in the ancient of Kingdoms. The Benin's and Yoruba are two nations of the same father but none would like to acknowledge which is greater, older, than the other though the older maps of Africa practically and technically indicated which was other. 🙏

Imagine you a mere nobody telling a Professor of History how to present results of his history research of Africa. All those jargon ,false and distorted history you people write allover social media is not new. We know y'all trying really hard to be relevant but writing false narratives as you claim above just to suit your egos everywhere on social media will only rubbish your shrinking little Benin Kingdom.

@@AIupclose First of all his research is not a peer reviewed research which means it hasn't been critically evaluated to meet the authenticity standards of scholarly research. His hypothesis and empirical data are wrong. Let's test just one of his hypothesis. He assumed, that because Benin moved her capital from Udo to Ugbekun then it automatically means the first arrival of Ogiso came from Ife mean while there was nothing like Ife at that time. Additionally, Udo is closer to the Benin river far to the Oghortun of current day Niger Delta. How did old pot found be archeology translate into Ogiso came from Ife?. Have u even read the paper? Which book this you read to get this fake history of yours, did the people that told you the history tell you that their ododuwa came from the sky in other for them not to accept that he was a prince from the great Benin kingdom that be came their king... we the Benins have the grave of Ododuwa father which happens to be our last Ogiso.. let them tell the world where their ododuwa was buried so that archaeologist can be invited to carry out a bone test on both to tell who is older among them and if they are related DNA will tell, if not the Yoruba should shut up.
