Turkish Aerospace will start delivering Kaan to the Turkish Airforce in 2028. The first two batches of 40 Kaans (2x20) will be Block 1 and powered by the F110-GE-129 engines, meaning they will be 4.5 Gen aircrafts. The subsequent Block 2 Kaans will be powered by the domestically designed and produced engine making Kaan a true 5 Gen fighter jet.

Rolls-Royce is not supplying its engines for Kaan. TF-35000 will be domestically designed and produced. It will be based on the existing TF-6000. Tusas Engine Industries getting assistance from Rolls-Royce though.
