Volokhin #5 is crazy. Draft +1 playing in MHL. Zavragin was #1 and way better goalie on his team and only graduated to VHL. An argument could be made that he's 4th in our goalie prospect pool behind Fowler, Dobes, and Miller. IMO he's out of the top 20 in our prospect pool.

This guy is out of position, throws the puck away doesn’t have a lethal shot. Isn’t even throwing his big body around. I can’t believe people think this guy is a top 3 talent. Cool he’s a got a little speed but the talent just isn’t there. Not an elite level defender, looks lazy. Didn’t show any offensive fire power. Would probably be a good 4th defenseman in the depth chart but definitely not a top pairing defenseman. This dude would not be able to defend barkov, mcdavid, Mackinnon. Definitely not worthy of the 2nd overall. Blackhawks need a forward to create offense. Take the best available player which is Demidov who is averaging more points than kucherov or panarin were at their time. Or if you want to take another Canadian player you can never go wrong with a hall of famer son in taj iginla. Do I think he’s worthy of the no 2 pick. Not quite but he could easily be a top 5 or 6 draftee and could end up being a first line center. Don’t take a defenseman when scoring and offense is the most important thing you need at the moment.

Sean Farrell and Mesar are a dime a dozen smurf player who will never make it to the NHL unless there is an injury. Beck and Florian are the most promising outside of goaltending

Kapanen got 5 goals in the 3 first games in the Men's World Championship. Just to give some perspective: Johnny Gaudreau, Erik Karlsson, Victor Hedman are currently behind him in the current stats). I'd say it's a decent start for a prospect. I'd say he's gonna be a future star in NHL

SO I was wrong about a couple things I thought Slaf had zero chance to be good at anything.What he has learned to be good at is using his size to protect the puck and he is getting tougher on the boards. The rest of his game his hockey IQ without the puck is really bad he is more a chaser a puck watcher than reading the game the ice and the POSSIBLE plays/passing lanes.All his improvement has been in the offensive zone but like I always say if your not good defensively you will not win any Stanley Cups. Toronto fans are not like it's ok we got beat out of the playoffs again because Mathews scored 60+ goals nobody puts the player above the TEAM.

problem with slovakia they dont have good nhl quality goalies like usa,canada,sweden,czechs have...their forwards and defense looks but good goalie is a core of the team just look how new jersey ended this year with all that talent but bad goalies

It is insane to see the improvement that Slaf has made this year. He looked like the best player on the ice out there. The blend of power, soft skill and puck protection is truly a treat to watch. I cannot wait to see how he plays next season in the red, white and blue. Hopefully the habs can draft Lindstrom or Demigod and our top 6 will be pretty much set in stone for awhile. If both those forwards are gone, would you take Iginla, Catton or Eiserman?
