    Kevin, your video is perfect, that is what I think for a long time, however sometimes people on the top decide how long the meeting will take and the topics to be discussed every week and the safety officer most of the time is not really prepared for.     1-3 aren't working out for us. I walked into FedEx Ground working for a CSP realizing the motivation from peers is literally to be unsafe. A high percentage of drivers seem to only be motivated by getting done early, at the cost of being reckless. Taking a look around the facility, I've noticed even the drivers look unfit for jobs, especially behind a wheel. The culture in this place is extremely toxic, and the drivers are managed poorly. Contractors would rather pay off incidents instead of report them to FXG, essentially ignoring the fact that they happened and not coming up with solutions to prevent them. I'm convinced there is no changing safety culture, there is only starting fresh after a proper culture has been established.

    I cannot begin to tell you how much motivation your videos have given me. I have always believed in the type of safety you speak about! We spoke a few months ago, I was having a really hard time with buy in from the 2 owners of the company. They kept demanding that I "write people up" and I should "have 200 discipline reports done already", yet the 10 write ups I actually did, went no-where, including one that involved an employee 30' in the air not tied off. They said, well, he's one of the best foreman we have, we cant send him home for a week. And they actually gave him a bonus shortly after... Anyway, I'm no longer at that company, I left after an employee almost died and the owners focused blame on the injured employee (it was not even close to being his fault), it was his supervisors. Thank you SO much for the high content quality of your videos. Once I get settled in, I'd love to have you come out for a session.
