Did you know there are 7,000 rare diseases? Rare diseases became known as orphan diseases because drug companies were not interested in adopting them to develop treatments. Less than 5% of all rare diseases have a treatment. There is no cure. People living with orphan diseases experience long diagnosis times, few medical experts, no treatments, financial hardship, and emotional stress.

THANK YOU! ❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏 I just finally was diagnosed after over 30 years of awful mental and physical symptoms starting when I was about 12 and I am now 47. It’s crazy to me how many people have this same story and yet even the infectious disease doctors go by standard testing. Which some of mine were positives but it was only short term antibodies so I was told they were false positives. Which also didn’t make sense that I had because I’ve been sick for, so many years I had not just gotten it. Finally went to the Functional Medicine department at the Cleveland clinic and they found it through Igenex testing. Which is not covered by insurance other than Medicare part B and even though I was the lane doctors, I’ve come across to have said it’s the best testing available. It hasn’t gotten FDA approval. And it says on the results sheet the “FDA does not approval to be necessary”. I think that there is a lot of controversial information the government doesn’t want to admit about this disease. But after I listened to a bunch of mental healthcare providers that treat it, one of them said 80% of the adolescents that come in presenting as bipolar, end up having underlying Lyme! So many people are suffering without knowing, and the medical establishment completely blows them off and gaslights them! 😢 I don’t know how Mary Lyn was able to work during all of this, maybe I am a sissy, but I haven’t really been able to hold a regular job over 10 years. I’m sure that her daughter was a huge source of motivation.

Mms Host please do another video and LET HER TALK. I have SWCAH, the most severe type. I'm 52 & won't make it to 55-60. I'd loved to hear more of the patient. I was dx at 3 DAYS OLD . If the effects of the hydrocortisone & Solu-Cortef don't kill me, they've certainly made me pray for death. Btw..... 3 NDEs just this summer from adrenal crisis.

Great interview Christina. Karista, I admire you and your willingness to share your journey. This touched me because of my husband. He has had both his adrenal glands removed because of cancer and is is on hormones as well. I had no idea how serious this condition was until I heard you explain it. I will keep you in my prayers and I wish you the best.
