You can see he changed the prop pitch after he saved it. Notice the dirt flying up behind the plane getting sucked towards the propellers, no way the plane slowed down that fast without reverse thrusters. Good save
The massive egos of pilots who think they can handle the old iron, no matter what condition it is in, is depleting the inventory of historical aircraft. Innocent lives are being lost in the process. Neither people nor historical aircraft can be brought back from the dead. The proper time to ground the warbirds has come and gone.
You can see the wind sock almost perpendicular to the runway before they touched down. They got on the brakes when it veered into the grass and reversed props while maintaining control…. No damage to the aircraft. The undercarriage was stressed but these planes are built for rough landings. Pilots did good.
I bet the pilot after landing said " nailed it!" XD

Looked like they were in the grass already and got spun abit sure the wind didn't help
Came in a little too hot!
SOP
Short field landing demo - i.e. landing in a short field beside the runway!
On tail this word "ah" yeah that so wrong

When pilots show off their drifting skills...

OH SHIT! Is right
Totally incompetent pilot
I was just here at the beaver air musueam and got to go inside it
Crosswind component? Never heard of it.
CaseOh was on the plane
Ooooo I think a need a pare of pants now too close i know the crew needs pants
I bet a few people felt the need to go change their underwear after that.
IF THAT'S AN RC PLANE WELL THATS BIG
Was that rc ??
👉🏻 LOADED 💩 DIAPERS 👈🏻
An experienced pilot once told me “all landings are a basic form of controlled crashes”.. he might be on to something there
Normal vietnam activities
Very well trained pilots
That announcer shit himself. Literally. You can tell he’s trying to grab a dinner cloth or something to wipe his ass. 😂😂😂😂
Almost ?😂😂😂
No rudder pedals were harmed (or used) in this landing
Americans like an air show? There seems to be alot of them?

Airshows are WHACK!!
Левая педаль хвоста не поддалась нажатию
The C132K almost got extinct

Pilot seat required cleaning after the landing.
I was at thats air show in georgia. It was on may 25th but same setup and everythink but not same exact show
wind.... and not a tree blowing lol
Those people have no survival instincts what so ever lol.
Никакого бокового ветра нет,ни по самолёту,ни по деревьям и зрителям видно что ветра нет,типичная заезженая и замыленная ошибка пилота!
I have the power
Crosswind at landing 😢
bro don't know how to fly a plane bro every plane there is landing brake
Demonstrate of ww2 stories
That is crashing not almost crashing.
Scary😲
you mean F22 template?
Atleast someone knows its a template👍
No reverse thrusters on these planes and no brakes once he's off in the grass. An amazingly tough aircraft.
They didn’t have reverse thrusters but they still had the ability to reverse the pitch of the propellers forcing thrust the opposite direction.
Always funny to read comments on vids like these. Barring mechanical issues this plane should never have left the centerline.
