The Gulf War is one of the most important and also, as it turns out, one of the most one-sided, wars in modern memory. In this video, we'll see how Saddam Hussein took over Iraq, how his failed invasion of Iran led to the invasion of Kuwait, and how the United States eventually built a coalition of more than 30 countries to go liberate Kuwait. zhlédnutí 3,5KPřed rokem
World War 1 is one of the most interesting conflicts in Human History, claiming the lives of more than 15 million people and changing the face of Europe forever. Come with me on a journey that will take us all the way back to 1871 and the formation of the German Empire and that will e...

The American Civil War explained
zhlédnutí 701KPřed 4 lety
The American Civil War (1861-1865) was fought between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. More than a war to prevent the secession of the southern states, it became the symbol of a fight for equality of rights, liberty, and an end to oppression. Some men that fought in this conflict such as Abraham Lincoln or Ulysses S. Grant went down in History as some of Ameri...
Cool video thanks, 10:00 yes Sherman freed many slaves, how they were later treated isn’t a great story
The fact is that southerners got tired of slavery because they couldn't find any work so they joined the Republican Party to end slavery according to Florida history
Lost me at 2:26 with “pacificly” 🌊
Only 3k views? Are you kidding me?
I stay with the union because I'm a African American.
Hi! I really like the video, I'm always looking for good summaries and overviews to help introduce topics and I think this does a good job. I also think the simple and clean visuals are great. My only real critique would be, it seems you mostly left out any mention of the campaigns in the Middle East like Mesopotamia and Sinai. They feel significant enough for a quick mention but really, other than that, great stuff.
This was so helpful for class, thank you!
It's Not Succession. It's Secession. It's not succeeding, it is seceding.
How the woman fir Trump Overlook decades of sexual assault against amazes me.
"Conceived in liberty". I love this ironic description of the greatest oppressor nation in human history. Seriously?
oil
You forgot to mention Kurdistan
You speak slow asf yet your accent cannot be understood buddy, anyway it was aight
We need to unabolish. Certain Americans need to be taken back into custody and given back purpose and their place contributing to America. Otherwise these these folks are just ruining America and they got to go!
The South was far from broke, Cotton was King and the northern states placed ever increasing tariffs, if it was only about slaves why did Lincoln wait 3 years to sign the Emancipation proclamation?
The total tax generation for import tariffs for all northern ports, including New York, was $48.3 million. New York City collected $34.9 million in tariff revenues. The entire South generated only $4.0 million in tariff revenues, with New Orleans being the southern port that collected the most, at $3.1 million. New Orleans was captured without resistance by the Union in 1862.
The emancipation proclamation was a reaction to the southern slaveholders rebellion.
The casual racism throughout this video is disturbing and disrespectful. Casually calling a confederate soldier brilliant is crazy
My bad a confederate GENERAL 😂 not even subtly racist and not to mention all of the errors in this video
Still the deceased number is way less than the natives slaughtered
You guys are insane for 1. Mispronouncing secession the whole video 2. Stealing the cereal joke from oversimplified history and putting it in an otherwise completely straightforward video
we love you yopp
Why 8s the representative colors changes arround
Loved the video. Thank you.
Very nicely done! 🤩
‘United Kingdom’ but list it as ‘England’ BORE OFF.
Thanks a lot
4:30 nobody notices how fire the background beat is? 🔥🔥
Well explained. I am in India, and this explanation help me to understand today's America . Thank you
scary how republicans want round 2...
You thinking upside down again, like it all started
Puuh my eyes 😂 can somebody render a dark version of that animation?
Wish it didn't say "screw it". Makes it a lot harder to use with my 5th grade class.
Thank you for this video.
What kind of savage brute would put milk before cereal????
Not for elementary, narrator says things like "screw it"
The sad thing about civil wars is that no matter which side is triumphant, the country loses
the joke about if the milk or the cereal goes 1st was crazy 💀
This is historical fiction.
The "All men are created equal"-bit? Are we not? 🧐
One thing is misleading. Anti-slavery, the North should rightly be coded red, the south, the rebels, the pro-slavery states were blue states- Democratic Party leadership.
The disinformation of democrats/republicans is **white supremacy propaganda** to distract from the issue of the Confederate traitors preserving the infernal institution of African slavery. (1860) White southern conservatives committed treason and formed the confederacy to preserve African slavery and white supremacy. (1865) White southern conservatives make up the KKK. (1865-1890) White southern conservatives make up black codes. (1877) Poll tax, literacy tests and registration referral is instituted across the south to disenfranchise black voters *(Georgia)* The term “grandfathered” is first used, exempting whites from all of this. (1883) Civil Rights Cases, Supreme Court votes (8-1) the Civil Rights Act of 1875 unconstitutional, ruling that the 14th Amendment only applied to state actions, not private individuals or businesses, leading to the legitimization of racial segregation and the establishment of Jim Crow laws in the South. (1884) Black citizens are barred from juries *(Mississippi)* (1896) Plessy vs. Ferguson Supreme Court case upheld the constitutionality of racial segregation under the "separate but equal" doctrine, legitimizing the Jim Crow laws *(Louisiana)* (1896-1968) White southern conservatives make up Jim Crow laws. (1954) Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court case overturned Plessy vs. Ferguson, ruling that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional *(Kansas)* (1954-1968) White southern conservatives oppose civil rights. (1957) Little Rock Nine incident, *Arkansas* Governor resists federal law by activating the national guard to keep black students out. President Eisenhower directs the 101st Airborne to enforce and oversee desegregation. (1967-2023) White southern conservatives oppose interracial marriages. (2001-2013) White southern conservatives oppose gay marriage. (2003) *Georgia* changes its state flag to be the First National Flag of the Confederacy. (2023-2024) Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) is opposed by white southern conservatives. We’ll never forget that Confederates are traitors and white supremacists 🇺🇸
Where were you during my ap America history class? 😂
« Could black peoples be citizens? Should slavery be abolished ? Cereal or milk first? » How do you « « « joke » » » with these topics ? Are you a clown?
Key lying
Say I’m wrong then you need to explain pat tillman and ever other soldier that gave their lives but they will be twisted to what America want to hear
It was 100% about industrialization on souther states meaning the damn railroad though they owned everything!! The slaves were “freed” but tell me why if that was there goal from the beginning why was racism so prevalent in those American states!! And why did America generals have slaves at the time they were “free”
Freeing the slaves was a hell Mary only done if and when they won a certain battle. Research will do you well if your really want the truth. But the most important part is an understanding of any government lies. ALL GOVERNMENTS LIE for their beliefs not yours! Your a tool and an expendable tool
Here having to learn from videos because my hisory teacher can't teach 🙂
Islam has told us about equality of all human kinds 1500 years ago❤❤❤ Hey guys plz study Islam you will find the guide of life. Do not judge it trough Taliban or ISIS.
And today those same slave generations are the biggest racists off them all 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This video got the colors screwed up. Red is for republican and blue is for democrat. The democrats (blue) are the ones who fought to keep their slaves. Republicans (red) gave their lives to free the slaves.
The red and blue color scheme did not come about until the 2000 election. Before that time, the media arbitrarily chose red or blue for election coverage, usually using blue for the incumbent president's party. Also, if Republicans gave their lives to free the slaves, does that mean that Democrats gave their lives to defeat NAZI Germany?

The confederacy lost 😆
How did the US finance government endeavors pre civil war ? Mainly export taxes. What did Europe want ? Tobacco, king cotton, furs. Who produced them ? See where im going ?
There were no taxes on exports.
I beg to differ
@@FrankJoseph-tp2jz Source?
@@unadin4583 there were no personal income taxes back then. The ports collected taxes on ships cargo.
@@FrankJoseph-tp2jz Yes, on cargo coming in, not cargo going out.
