So let me understand this, you set out on a record setting poker run across several states and started out with a questionable tire and wheel, didn’t discover it until part way through your trip and it was right a closing for the 1st dealer and the rant is about poor service? You’re riding an older bike, not that that matters but who has been servicing this bike over the years? DIY? So, not only was the tire bad but the rim was also worn out needing replaced. Wire wheels require maintenance. These things don’t just happen while out on the road but now it’s the service departments and dealers fault. You got superb service from both dealers especially when the 2nd threw in a fatboy wheel and gave you discounts. Obviously the first dealer should have brought it up but that’s also the condition the bike came in and like I said, it didn’t just happen on your trip, that wheel was likely bad for some time. So, no matter what lengths dealerships go through, some riders are just never satisfied.

Mechanic, armorer/gunsmith, repairman, survivalists and outdoor skills.

I've built cars out of a pile of parts in my teen years. Tested 5th in the state of OH out of 175,000 auto tech students, I can make wine & brew beer, Repair/restore rifles & have a few pistols I need to start on. Now workin' on my motorcycle. I've even repaired automation equipment at Ford.

Sadly a day is coming in 2025, when most of mankind will fall like leaves.

Met you guys at Full Throttle! Bogey Biker was with us!! Sonny you were wiped out lol! Nice meeting you all! We were the crew from Maine on our cross country Wildhogs road trip!! 11,710 miles in 38 days!

I'm thinking I need to get rid of the Fatboy. I'm on a limited income and an accident would devastate us. Besides, I am fighting cancer and I'm not as strong as I used to be. Handling the bike in town and around the shop can be difficult.

And remember, helicopter transport is not 100% covered, and they are damned expensive!!!

Good topic Sonny and one that all riders need to be reminded of. The rules in Canada are different when it comes to coverage and because we travel in the US a lot there is a rider we carry and hope those Canucks that travel in US carry as well. In Manitoba we have automatic 3rd party liability which is 500,000. There is a upgrade which many do not realize and that's a 10 million dollar 3rd party to cover while traveling in the US. As we both know if you get in an accident in the US and the party is injured and in the hospital 500,000 will not last long.

Solid video! I got taken out by an Uber May 24, $69,000 emergency room bill $12,000 surgery loss of bike, A grand for wrecked bike storage and towing, Ubers all over the place because I couldn’t drive, no one to mow and Home things got very dirty. Who will take me to and from surgery?… loss of ability to enjoy really anything since then. He got a careless driving ticket resulting in injury… My lawyer said how does 500,000 sound I said not enough he said good you won’t even get close to that. Maybe we’ll get 300 but you owe me a third. So it’s 200,000, worth it, no way. Not even close. he said well you’re retired and don’t have a job so there’s really no loss there… You have to be a neurosurgeon or something fancy like a powerline worker so that you can document hours in missed wages and loss of technical ability. Our state has laws so the medical shit won’t BK me.

I hear this crap all the time, if you haftoo wear 20 pounds of kevlar and all this other safety gear to ride a motorcycle then you might as well just drive a car, there’s absolutely no way anyone is wearing all that stuff when it’s 95 degrees outside and actually enjoy riding. Those clowns bitching need to just hop in their electric cars and worry about saving the planet and stop worrying about other people.

Hey Man. Just found your channel. I have a question if you dont mind. I got a bike just like your Silver and Orange bike. Its got 77,000 miles on it. The clutch starts slipping after the engine temp gets up to 190 degrees. It doesnt slip when you 1st start riding. Maybe the clutch plates? Thanks Man.

I guess I don't understand why anyone would think their life would be important or interesting enough to chronicle it on video with hopes that the rest of us would want to follow it. I find it weird, and I'm gone.

Can you still wear them under a helmet? Can you get the helmet on and off comfortably or do they rip your ears off? I saw a video review of some wired ear buds and they said that they fit well in the ear and did not protrude much at all so it was easy getting the helmet on and off. I would prefer the wireless. Just wondering what your experience was wearing them with a helmet.

Your Stator is 3 phase which consists of y1 y2 and y3 out puts, just testing one phase is not an accurate assumption. Also one must test continuity of all 3 phases on the stator to be 100% sure your stator is not beginning to fail. The Harley shop manual recommends changing the Stator when you change the regulator FYI * edit * Harley should have a recall on regulators and stators from the years 2008-2017. I have two other bikes both are jap bikes which are older and many more miles on them and have never had a regulator or stator fail on them. Harley using cheap Chinese electrical parts doesn't help
