I use SPIRIVA inhaler made by RESPIMAT. It stops the progression of COPD by keeping the M1 cells in the lungs clear and functioning so that you release the Carbon Monoxide and other bad gases. A doctor I was seen by has told me to never stop using the SPIRIVA for the rest of my life because it stops the spread within the lungs of the mutated tissues from spreading and corrupting good tissue-stops the spread of the disease.

I had antibiotic resistant C Diff for 6 months. Failed vancomycin then vancomycin chemo like you. About one month in, I had an allergic reaction & could no longer tolerate the vancomycin. From Feb to May it raged on. I lost 50 pounds & to this day live off boost (protein drinks). Finally I got my insurance to pop for the $5500 cure called Dificid. It worked & I thought my wishes had come true. But the healing process has been so slow. I have IBD UC Crohn's so now I'm struggling to keep in remission. I live in constant fear this will come back & now I'm completely petrified to eat. Every time I do I start getting a flare. Diagnosed Feb 21, first neg test June 21. Still c-diff free but cleaning up my wrecked body. This is no joke people. Be kind to your gut. It is the boss.

Thank you so much for telling your story. I am 10 weeks into an aggressive C Diff infection that I got in the hospital. Never heard about it. Just finished antibiotics cure nr.2 (10 days on Vancomycin and before that 10 days on Flagyl) and nothing helps. I am completely exhausted, lost lots of weight and generally in bad shape. Seeing my Doctor tomorrow and I expect a hospitalization. Don’t know what is worse. Isolation there or at home🤣. I fear further reoccurances no matter the treatment.

Dificid cured me. After having a reaction on vancomycin in the middle of my pulse dose phase. It cured me but in a way it's after that's the hardest for me. I also have IBD Crohn's. Lost 50 pounds still not eating solid food. Live on Boost (protein drink frozen the only way I can tolerate it). K8dnet stones from the chronic dehydration & even eyesight damage. This is not a joke. Now I have envirocleen in every qtr to sterilize.

Very careful with what I eat.

I was just diagnosed with c diff. My symptoms began almost 20 years ago. I was 24 and was given antibiotics for a bad case of bronchitis, symptoms began within a week or so. I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. My symptoms weren’t as bad as this woman’s, I could still function, but I’m a little frustrated at doctors attitudes that I’m just being a hypochondriac, or I just need to eat better. If it weren’t for their ignorance I would have been spared almost 20 years of suffering

@@maryhawker5003 They might have. I’m not sure. They did a bunch of tests back in November and that was when I got the c diff diagnosis. After a month of taking vancomycin, I still had symptoms, they did more testing and I was diagnosed with some sort of E. coli infection. After a week or so of amoxicillin, I still have symptoms. Haven’t been back to the doctor yet but I’ll probably go soon. I had some hope at first but now I’m very skeptical of both diagnoses.

@@danpeters6874 amoxicillin?!? I’ve never heard of amoxicillin to treat this severe of an infection, c. Diff or not. But your story sounds identical (minus the amoxicillin) to so many people on CZcams who say in the comment section they now have SIBO after c. Diff treatment & their doctors gaslight them into believing it’s all in their head, just to get rid of patients they don’t know how to treat. Also, Doctors aren’t familiar with SIBO on a widespread scale yet, so I would highly recommend seeing a different GI doctor who can order the SIBO breath test that measures both hydrogen AND methane.

Slightly Feel like my intestines and lady bits and butt are going to fall down/out. Went back to urgicare and they said the swelling and pressure in those areas is the inflammation. Good Rx saved me 200$ on medicine btw. Broke down and cried tonight for first time. It does take a toll and it’s kind of scary to feel the inflammation/swelling.
