WIll the stone holder accept dual sided stones like the Venev Centaur? Thanks
I don't own any dual sided stones, but I would say no. There's no as much clearance between the arm and that brackets that hold the stones like some other brands. It feels like it was made to accept the ones included, but others will fit.
How are the locking mechanisms on the rotation bar and the angle set, compared to the TS Prof?
No where near as good as TSProf, but for the price is serviceable.
Do you know if this unit acepts the TSPROF stones?
Yes it will accept all 6" stones

I think there's enough of a difference that they won't. I'll check it out for you though. My Etsy adapter for the TSProf fits the Xarilk of I modify it slightly and get some different bolts
if it's 2 cm where you fit the clamps in the frame then it should fit very well

Dude i think the hot dog hole is unique and its extremely effective. Its too bad all the youtube reviews have been so hard on that one aspect. I think you killed it on this design.
Thanks I really tried to do something a little different. The knife scene is plaqued by the same old same old. Also a new design is in the works and hopefully it works out because it's pretty wild. The lock up may be difficult to get right so we will see@briandunn5861 @@briandunn5861
I suppose the reason for combining a pry tool and a utility knife in the same tool is so that it can be used to open large packages which are both stapled and taped shut. Some other people mentioned that the locking button fell off their older Prybid Utility tool. I hope that won't happen with this updated version. Thanks for the review. MTO is a great forum.
The button issue doesn't seem to be a problem on the new model. I can see how the tool is aimed at being a multipurpose for boxes and large packages. Thanks for supporting us ☺️

The pre-orders have been shipping. I got mine months before launch for testing/review
I bought one of these for around US $20 here in Indonesia. I like its size, not too big and not too small. The main blade is very sharp and the scissors cut through not just paper but also cloths, paracords, cardboards, etc. I haven't tested the other tools yet. But overall I'm satisfied with it as far as price and quality are concerned.
I was hoping that I was wrong and that this multi-tool doesn't actually require unlocking to open. At its price I like almost everything else about it. It looks cool, has a solid tool-set, and all outside-opening tools. But every time I pick it up that lock drives me nuts and I put it back in the drawer with the 10 or so other multitools gathering dust. Great review!

I got mine this week. Haven't had a lot of time with it yet but pretty nice. I bought a bunch of the blades that I thought I would like and the ones I have tried are pretty good.

It would be a great idea if they were using decent steel for these. Theyre using 2 and 3crmov and the most expensive knife they have is 8cr13mov. Which is fine. But the screw driver being 2cr isnt giid enough to turn a screw without breaking. 3 cr is basically stainless steel used for making pots. Or pot metal. It isnt fit for tools. All the tool should be made of 420hc or 440c. The knife should be made of d2 or 14c28n, same with the saws etc. And then yes. It would be expensive. But it woukd be usable
The Flex is made with 5Cr15Mov, both the blades and components. Similar to 440A. I agree it would be nice for a bump in steel quality. Maybe for the blades they'll give us upgrade options.

Very good review. Did you find that moving the clamps to one side to sharpen smaller knives, instead of using an adapter wasn't a good way to go ? I am debating between the TSprof Pioneer and the Hapstone RS. Since you own both , if you could only own one, which would you choose ? (price is not a consideration for me) Thank you in advance.
For smaller knives without an adapter go with the Hapstone RS. The RS can flip the clamps around to be closer in the middle. I'm going to be doing an RS review to show how this is beneficial.

Shit knife. I had one a year or two ago and the scissor mechanism broke. Just buy a branded knife.
About as reliable as Leatherman.qc is in non existent now

Nice little knife! I just bought the pup with the white G10 scales, black blade and hardware. It should be here in a couple days. I’ve been watching too many videos, going to attempt to dye the white G10 to a black to grey fade. Can’t wait!

@@Matto_Harvo I didn’t get the fade quite right, so just ended up dying the scales graphite black and the back spacer racing red. It came out very good, looks like it came this way. Fun to do and makes your knife your own. Taking the knife apart and putting it back together is sometimes more challenging than the actual dying.
Any special kind of utility blades you need…or scalp blades…? I think they come in different numbers sizes??

👍🏼I do like the swap mechanism but overall I’m liking the GOAT appearance and tools. I don’t do alot of swapping now that I have things where I want them so the “better” swap mechanism doesn’t really matter to me. I do often take out my craft blade and use it individually. It’s a full length long tool. Plenty to hang on to by itself. Along with 3 other long tools. 🙂
So, love the direction of fully configurable but will stick with my Bibury dedicated tools and swapable t-shank on one for now. Fantastic innovation but needs time to mature an Roxon have taken a big leap in reducing wiggle issues over GOAT. But big to them for going first into a new multitool era
My side to side wiggle was fixed when I tightened the pivots but there still is very slight up and down.
Wow, so much unrealized potential here! - Leatherman, why can't you offer us a truly custom mix of tools? You have the idea but not the execution... - That hobby/surgical blade holder is dynomite! - That scraper/chisel/wire stripper looks really useful, in ways I don't even yet know- that's the kind of multi-function we really want from a multitool blade!! - Nobody can beat the SAK awl/reamer blade- it's just a perfect, multi-function tool! Leatherman, side-eyes here... This awl/reamer is on steroids, and not necessarily in a good way... - Everyone else has figured out how to combine a bottle opener with a can opener (super useful for more than just those two functions) but these guys haven't... Yeah, this great idea just makes me want more from Leatherman... SMH
There's a lot of potential from the platform and it's by no means perfect. The more time I spend with it I find things I would change. I think Leatherman would kill it if they had an open platform like this, but then again that would cut into profits.

I am unhappy with the changes. They downgraded the G-10 scales to glass filled Nylon. The texture is downgraded. The lock button has been down graded from stainless to plastic as well. All just to add a pocket clip. As a solution. Maybe they should have gone with a wire clip and made it deep carry tip up. So that the pry bar end is in the pocket. The chamfer in the pocket clip they added is nice. Helps it slide into the pocket easy. Retention is a little weak though. Shame they couldn't give us a nice tight pocket clip like they gave the Flat Iron.
Yeah G10 would have been nicer than the plastic, and what little issues it has could have been solved during R&D. The locking tab on mine is metal and looks to be stamped, is yours plastic?
@@DavidB-MTO So I have one of the early Prybrids made after launch and I have a bunch of Prybrids in black from Wal-Mart. I have looked them all over since I was concerned with Wal-Mart downgrading to hit a price point. Which is very common. The Wal-Mart Prybrids appear to be identical to the one I bought online. Recently I saw one with a pocket clip. So I bought it. The packaging looks similar. So I looked everything over. The new 2024 Prybrids have a different finish on the stainless steel. Darker black, I suspect it's paint and not black oxide. The scales are glass filled nylon and not G-10. Which makes the 2024 Prybrid feel cheaper. The texture not as grippy. The lock button is also not metal. It is a plastic. Most people would probably only notice the pocket clip and not the other changes. The price is still the same despite the downgrades to the 2024 model. I am just glad that I bought up the older version so I have spares. The prybrid is one of my favorite EDC utility knives. I like the simplicity and robust build. The G-10 really holds up well. I doubt the nylon is going to perform as well.

this is not the ve3, its the ve18s. the ve3 has two molle strips, and no velcro.

My only gripes against the tool right now it's the lack of 4 large implements instaed of the current 2. The other thing is the current platform forbids large scissors like in some of their models like the storm, phantom, KS, and such. I think they should go towards the multiple model route. Since they made a nice platform they can actually do let's say heavy duty versions with phantom implements in addition of this system. Small versions that can work only with the smaller implements. "Knives" without pliers with the same system.
I agree with the 4 tools thing. Having that option for years it feels like a step backwards. I'm hoping all of these testing of the pre-production model well help make changes before the official launch. I do think the platform could be modified so it works on Roxon's other tools.
At first glance these reminded me of the Delémont NailClip 580 except with a few more accessories. Good presentation and video format. Also, might be of benefit to link the review from the forum on here.
I don't have a written review yet, I'm going to post these in the review forum though. Some things I don't know if I'm going to do both video and written, which is what I'm doing. Or if some will be exclusively video
I almost looks like the clip can be moved to the other side on the ST02 but I'm guessing the curvature of the clip would prevent that from being fully successful. Looking forward to your full review.

Nice overview. Thanks! I have the ST02 and the tools are sharp. I was using the can opener to pry something and it slipped. Got me pretty good. I agree it's not quite up to Leathrman workmanship, but it's definitely not cheap stuff that's not going to hold up.

The Arc is a great successor to the P2/P4. I think it builds off of what came before it and makes it worthwhile to pick up. It's a great tool and it's bumped out everything else I carry.

Thank You for a brief review of this knife! I just ordered this mini lab. In the gray finish from WMK and look forward to receiving it. It is a smaller size knife than I usually buy but it has all nice materials and it’s nice to have smaller size knives in my collection. This will be my 3rd Vosteed knife purchase for me. Good work. Please keep up the reviews. These seem like underappreciated tools. I like mine and have never had an issure with the driver closing on me inadvertantly. I really like the blade although the edge grind is nothing special. It's a useful size and shape.
I bought one Striker a few months ago. I like it so much that I bought another one as backup, and just in case they discontinued. I do have the Gerber Prybrid, and to be honest, I like the angle of the prybar better than the Striker. They are both good multitool.
Yeah the striker is cool but I think the Prybid is a little more practical.

Nice bro! I carry an ASK American Service Knife every day for over 2 years, it’s basically the Medford made American version of a Swiss army. Multitools are my favorite!
I've looked into ASK knives, very nice indeed. Medford SAKs was an awesome idea and I'm glad to see people enjoying them. They're out of my price range, maybe I'll get one someday. SAKs provide so much more bang for the buck.
