Was it not 1984 that the DART first arrived?
Shame that it's no longer really fit for purpose with the trainsets it has. Way too cramped these days.
The success of the DART has also led to the development of the Luas and the upcoming MetroLink in a way. I never knew DART buses were a thing. Oh how I wish the buses in Dublin were more like the DART.

4:13 I used to travel to school through Dun Laoghaire while they were digging out the 30" of granite, and I still have a sticker from the pre-DART train doors, with their slide-down windows: "As engineering works are taking place on the adjacent track, DO NOT LEAN OUT OF THE WINDOW". In '84, I lived near Sandymount station, which (along with Seapoint) was re-opened at the launch of the DART, so on the first day of DART service, anyone who went to the new station got a free ride to Bray & back.

This guy must be the best Rory 'sound' we can hear today since Rory left us.Playing along side Gerry ( Rory's bass player, for those who dont know) comes across.He has his own channel if you want more.Check out Band of friends if you like blues rock sometimes featuring this guy and Rory's band members of the past.
