FMOD is only for sound, you can't compare it to Unreal or Unity. I'm not sure but this is most likely build on some in-house game engine. But yeah the game is in really rough shape. I already stated that it would be better if Ed focused on basic features first and made them actualy work, because some earlier builds despite having less features were more playable than this mess. Adding more features by a single man team is nonsensical to me at this point. Do we really need more aircraft if the base one doesn't work?

It's actually sad. The flight sims niche is quite empty.

I'm really glad that the return of casual combat flying sims is happening right now. Oldschool games like Fighter Bomber, Tomahawk, F19 - way back on ZX Spectrum, then a year later LHX, F29 Retaliator, Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, F117 Nighthawk or Dogfight on my first PCs, all these titles kickstarted my love for sim flying and kept me interested in flight simming and aviation in general. This interest later led me to more serious simulators, more "serious" interest. And although i do like reading theory explanation pdfs and diving into manuals and creating Excel cheatsheets with simplified checklists for those payware planes that simulate every single cockpit button and knob, including heaters and cargo compartment pressure, but sometimes it's really nice to just start a game, hop in a plane and go blasting. And for that, i got a PERFECT title. It's also EA, in active development, but in this case, the development is going very fast. Every new update brings major new features, and so far the bugs i ran into were relatively minor. Nothing gamebreaking. That game is called NUCLEAR OPTION, it's on Steam, it has GREAT reviews and it's actually TONS of fun, even this early in development. I really hope that CAP2 developer gets his sh1t together and fixes what needs to be fixed, or at least hires someone to do it for him. Because the more the merrier, i wish to see CAP2 succeed, and the game has REALLY beautiful graphics. But as it is right now, it's borderline unplayable. Basic functionality is broken, the gui is hell, sadly, there's a lot more baaad than there's good. And i truly regret it, because we don't yet have a casual combat flight sim with this kind of graphics. But graphics is irrelevant when basic stuff doesn't work.

I really wanted to buy this game despite the fact I knew it has some issues. You saved me, thank you. You actually saved me not from wasting my money, which I do in mass on other occasions in my life. You prevented huge disappointment from happening in my life. I've gone through a few of those and every time it was really bad experience. I really wanted CAP2 to become my favorite sim title, too much to see what's actually been delivered.

Micropose... We went from The Mighty 8th to this... As a DCS Player, i dont think ill be busting my wallet out for this. If i need a MicroPose Fix, ill stick with Carrier Command 2.

Thanks for the video. Just found out about this game. I heard its been not that great and its been out for a bit but i also heard that microprose is behind them now and they are suppose to have a really great roadmap now. I am definitely eager to try this game out and give them a chance. This looks like it can have a lot of potential!

This is a very good yoke to use/purchase. But you will run into trouble (depending on which sim you play) Yaw/steering/taxing control......I haven't found a GOOD solution yet. Rudder pedals just sucks, take up to much space.

Thank you for your thorough review. I was on the fence about this or the Logitech controllers, now I know you can't go wrong with Honeycomb. Do you have a gamer chairs recommendation that adds realism to the experience?

A2A and BeyondATC are amazing products. Amazing REAL products. I feel a bit scammed here. The Self Loading Cargo site has almost no real information about the product. In fact, most the pages don't even mention MSFS. But based on this video tying together two very amazing products, I went and pre-purchased SLC. Only to find out there has been no updates and no communications since early 2021. I went to the MSFS forums for the SLC thread, and found this product has been "soon to be released" for the last two years. That the forum has been shut down for comment, and they refer you to the Discord. The Discord has been shut down, and they refer you to emailing support. That was $15 I just threw away based on this video...

I think I'd replace my current rudder pedals with the Turtle Beach VelocityOne if I needed new pedals at the moment. I can't imagine the Honeycomb Charlie pedals will be so much better as to justify the price tag; besides which, the VelocityOne allows the user to change between airliner- and GA-style pedals and to adjust the width between the pedals. (BTW, I think it's the Honeycomb Delta screens which will connect via Wi-Fi.)

That Yoke cable that connects to the base.... just pull on it until it's about 50% longer than when it came out of the box, and it won't stress the connectors.

I found the cons in this video to be rather nit picky. Let's not forget the price point shall we. Sure they could of addressed some of or all those issues with a $500.00 dollar price point. this reminds me of that saying that goes "give them an inch and they will want a mile. I find the bravo yoke and throttle quadrant to be perfect for their price points and that Honeycomb came along and filled a hole that other companies did not feel the need too. All the cons in this video can be addressed by buying a $1000.000 Yoko yoke. As much as we would love to have our cake and eat it too, it's just not reality. I think honey comb did a great job at a reasonably affordable price point. Far too often companies give us far less than what we paid for, honeycomb is just not one of those companies and gave us great value for our money. Honeycomb is a great asset to the flightsim community and it shows because many many flight simmers are now buying their products. If I'm not mistaken Honeycomb has now become the go too for quality flightsim peripherals. Happy flying everyone and Merry Christmas to all. Cheers!

I took a break from using my CV1 I'm getting bad screen tearing in MSFS and DCS and I'm running a RX6800XT

I've been running my CV1 and 1070 on an i7- 4930K since they were both first released. More than happy with the performance in MSFS. I run it at 80% render res and then multiplied with 1.3 in Oculus itself. I also run the asw locked to 18 or 30 and the desktop windowed and as small as you are permitted to drag it. On the 30fps is super smooth and you can blat about low level in fighter jets, but the GPU is running 95% (about 68c), with the 18fps the GPU is more at 55% and can chill out. When not flying energetic you can't really tell the difference and the poor old GPU doesn't get stressed. I've recently "upgraded" to an i3-12100f as my motherboard died, but in flight sim, as it's GPU limited, it's not made any real difference.

Do you happen to know how to enable the preset button and axis assignments? Nothing is assigned for me even under "Alpha Yoke Profile". It looks like there are default assignments for you. I really don't want to have to manually assign them all. I've installed the drivers from the site.

Has anyone tried this for combat sims? I'm particularly interested in flying the P-38, the 90 degree travel is important on that, but it's also a fighter, I can't see the button layout being ideal, but I'm also not aware of any other affordable yokes that would work. Any thoughts?
