Careful with LVMH. Consumer discretionary during a recession does not do well. Most LVMH customers are wannabes, not actually wealthy.

I can’t remember the last time I used google to search for some things. I do use google maps to search for places, but ChatGPT has been my go to source for everything else. Since OpenAI is getting ready to release its own version of search, google has been taking a hit and therefore buying google right now is riskier than before.

I bought the dip of $GOOGL this week, but I am saving some ammo for the rest of September.

I don't like the first one, I'm buying the other two. I bought Pernord Ricard and Diageo, but then I read new trendings and i understood I was wrong, and that I was biased by my own experience. Don't know if fundamentals will deteriorate and if I should take the hit, sell and invest somewhere else. Have you checked lway? The long chart is a pain, but totally a winner this year, I consume their products.

Can you comment on Comcast CMCSA. It has low PE, decent dividend, stable predictable earnings, significant share buyback but does not move. Why?

Really enjoy your presentations. Couple comments on this one. Increase in fracking at this oil price is probably not a concern. OXY has also significant advantage over XOM and CVX that it does not own refineries and does not compete with lower cost of refine products from newly built refineries in the Middle East. Agree, looks like they are betting on stable to higher oil price and want to increase production. Do not feel much excitement to own this stock; Buffett gave them money few year ago to buy Anadarko and has special business relations with OXY CEO, and receives special perks from company.

The main point here is that a peaceful world or not? The real driver of oil consumption is still in China. How long this isolation can go on? How soon international flights return to Beijing? etc. Need a true leader in November to let this world peace out and prosper in many ways. Not war and economic sanctions. Otherwise no one will buy anything like 1929. So OXY is on hold at this point.

How can one really amass wealth gains like Buffet without having to hold stocks for too long? Over the years, I've teetered in the brink of financial ruin due to an awful divorce and considering retirement in 4 years, I now look towards the stock market to fuel my comeback.

I like the overall trend I've been seeing in the Oil & Gas Sector the last 3-4 years which is the lowering of net debt and the intitiation share buybacks to return capital to investors. Much of this is attributable to fracking and carbon capture production efficiencys. In Carbon Capture, produced carbon during production is captured and is subsequently re-injected back into oilwells which increases production. This along with fracking reduces the frequency of drilling new wells thereby lowering CAPEX and increasing FCF. I think this may be Berkshire's investment thesis in the Oil & Gas sector. Why OXY? That I'm not sure of when analyzing the company. I'm speculating it has much to do about Berkshire's belief in OXY managment which is something I have no insight into.
