America's Favorite Hike: The Mist Trail - Yosemite National Park (2023) 4K
zhlédnutí 1,4KPřed rokem
The Mist trail located in Yosemite National Park, is the most popular hike in America. Today I take a look at all of the different elements that go into this amazing trail for 2023; what to expect, how to get there, where to stay, what you should bring, and of course the amazing waterfalls (Vernal falls & Nevada falls). All links for everything stated in this episode can be found below. Please ...
I went up there about 15 year ago. Left before sunrise - caught a coyote roaming the parking lot for dropped food - but by the time I got to the top the sun was out and the wind was beginning to blow. That did not discourage the panhandling squirrels. I did not go out onto the point because I thought the wind was too dangerous to do it. No regrets though. The view is fantastic even if you don't go out to the point.
Great detailed video!!! Many of my questions answered, prepping for my Zion trip soon.
Thank you so much! Hope you have a great trip!
Excellent video and information! Thank you!
I visited Utah’s mighty 5 and the Grand Canyon last November. The peekaboo loop was my absolute favorite trail.
Content is amazing! Thank you!
Excellent details and video quality ❤
I believe that the Mist Trail is one way now going up only. You have to go down the John Muir trail from Clark Point. I think they did this because the trail is hazardous going down, and there are a lot of inexperienced people trying to go down slippery rocks.
Done thus three times. The quality of your video is outstanding
It's not clear on the NPS website that the timed-entry reservation system has been finalized. The listed current stage of the project is the analysis of public comments (parkplanning.nps.gov/PlanProcess.cfm?projectID=95095). "Potential actions include timed-entry reservation systems, parking permit systems, alternative transportation options, as well as improved wayfinding, signage, roadside scenic vista management, and development of trails. " The final plan and decision document have not yet been released according to the web site. That said, the reservation plan is the preferred alternative.
I used to live really close to Yosemite. Went there pretty often. After I moved away, around 20 years ago, I've only been there once or twice. Thanks for this video, it reminds me of how special that place is. Also, the way you provide guidance on the trails, that is really helpful! Thanks for the great content.
Definitely looks like quite the epic hike, with some amazing scenery too!
its a beautiful hike......memories for a lifetime.....but the cable climb can get busy...go during slow season....train hard before...prepare for cold...practice beginner rock climbing......bring good hikking sticks
I did that hike in 1977 just 15 yrs old one the best experiences of my life
❤ love this beautiful place ❤ while in college, I enjoyed summer job at national park inn in Longmire...here we would hike every afternoon after our shift...this was the summers 1969 and 1970 ❤
Awesome view for motivation...
You are awesome. Much love from a PNW local
I love this content and also your hosting. Please don't stop making this videos.
Cool...I hope to go there some day. 👍👍👍
Beautiful 💙
This is great 👍
Another great episode! I've always wanted to go to Yosemite National Park, your videos look so beautiful.
Im excited for the future of this page, when this page blows up, i can prpudly say i was subscriber #61 😂
Thank you! If there are any hikes and/or areas you'd like me to take a look at, I'll do my best to accommodate!
Amazing video! Love the details and breakdown of the trail. Your channel is a must for hikers looking to get details before their trip!
Great video, info, and documentation. Most documentation I’ve seen indicates the wonderland trail is 93 miles rather than the 89 listed. Mildly surprised to not hear a callout for the Burroughs Mountain trail out of Sunrise. The Summerland trail is considered highly also. And the Northern Loop is a shorter option than the Wonderland trail (more like 45 miles).
Thank you for your thoughtful response and trail suggestions. During my research I found three varying distances, 86, 89, & 93 miles based on minor detours. So you are totally right but I have not completed the trail myself so I cannot speak from personal experience. I plan on completing the Burroughs Mountain trail the next time I'm in Washington, it looks like a fantastic hike! I will be releasing a backpacking guide on the Glacier Point to Half Dome Summit trail in Yosemite soon, any feedback you might have would be appreciated!
The Skyline trail looks absolutely breathtaking! 😍🏔 Definitely on my hiking bucket list now. 🌏
It's definitely an incredible hiking presentation !! Greetings from India.

The views are breathtaking! The mountain looks so pretty 😍
Not at all 😂😂😂
I think they have some ghettos in California that would be a deadlier hike.
Lol, so deadly. Brace on the hand rail people if you get scared
Super Dope info❤
What an amazing video. I am planning to go to Yosemite this week and this makes me very excited. Kudos and all the best for the channel
