Today is August 18th, 2022 and your hair turned out really pretty. Nice and curly, I love braid outs and twist outs. My hair is growing back from having breast cancer twice and I use Palmers length retention hair and scalp oil with Biotin and vitamin E and olive oil and castor oil and carrot oil and rosemary oil mixture every other day.

Your braid out came out so well! I usually get frustrated and end up combing through the curls and everything gets frizzy. But now I know to comb only the roots not through the length of the hair. Thanks for this!

I’m really glad you mentioned why you stopped taking the supplements/doing a growth “routine.” ~ 7:38 you mention it exactly “I stopped taking the [vitamins] because [I got the result I wanted] [and was happy to maintain my results with a normal routine].” So many people are suspicious of why people stop using things that work. It’s like… “Well, how many YTers do you see not washing their hair for weeks on end because they dread washing/styling???” So who is doing “extra” on top of the basic???😵‍💫🤣😮‍💨 I love washing my hair because I found a “basic” routine that’s easy to maintain weekly and still gives me great hair. If I neglect it for more than a few days and notice excessive tangling or dryness, I hop onto an extra TLC routine for a few days to balance out quickly. When people neglect their hair for a while or damage it badly enough to have a big cut, they throw all the tricks they remembered working best to recoup “as quickly as possible.” But then once you’re satisfied with whatever result you were looking for, who is really going to keep taking extra steps?🤷🏾‍♀️🤣 Great vid!

This is how I hydrate and restyle my hair as well. Unless my hair has been totally saturated with water and conditioned I don't feel I'm giving it adequate moisture. I'm more likely to do a light shampoo with moisturizing shampoo or a true co-wash conditioner, but my method is very similar.

yes i always twist my hair before putting in box braids it makes it more easier to grip instead of using rubber bands and it makes it go by faster

omg! i plat my hair before i install marley and passion twists. ive never braided my hair with fake hair...but i agree...i have way less hair shed and i find its a LOT less tension on my edges. I usually plat my whole head then crochet the fake hair underneath and braid...i do the same thing for faux locs. I alsoooooo use normal conditioner FIRST to detangle, then i shampoo, then i apply a deep conditioner with heat...i have 3c/4a hair thats high porosity and this has been the best process for me. I also use protein very often, like once a month.
