Here we are out on a perfect summer afternoon... temps in the 80's, NNE Wind blowing 12-14 at Fern Ridge Lake as we cruise along on a starboard tack on our Catalina 22 sailboat, with the genoa jib slightly furled.

Horse treats for old Floyd, 23 yr old gelding whose paddock we pass by almost everyday. I bought some Alfalfa mint horse treats from the local feed and grain. Floyd LOVES em... this is the third time I visited him to say hi, only the second time with treats... you can see he is very appreciative!

We know that that eating grass is one of the worst things to do with a horse with laminitis or at risk for it .... : (
There will never be another one like him. Winning the Belmont by 34 lengths and breaking records in his triple crown win that still stand today. Some horse! Featured on the covers of Time, Newsweek and Sports Illustrated in June 1973. I laid flowers at his grave at Calumet Farms a few years ago, tears in my eyes. 🐎🐎🐎

LOL. Unfortunately, Mr. Turner sold the show to a foreign market (Iceland- last report) and cable. Then he bought it back. Since our contracts were with the first owner of the series, they are no longer bound by THAT contract. My check was under a dollar.
Also was a guest star on the show. Occasionally, I get a check. So, it's playing somewhere.
yes... always nice to get a check... a good one these days will buy you a coffee at starbucks :-/

Thanks for posting these clips. Was trying to remember the name of this series for ages and finally tracked it down last night. It certainly made an impression on me which is more than can be said for others of it's ilk. I understand that it never went to DVD, maybe a petition is in order!!!!!

What a fantastic show. Karen Sillas was incredible. Too bad it only aired for one season and that it's not available on dvd.
