My radio in the basement can virtually pick up a solid station in EVERY position with this. The jack on the fromt is for vintage radios with a loop antenna so it works on those too if you have this model. A smart investment for the Infowarrior. Great for all part 15 ststion owners to give to that person complaining that they can't quite hear the signal.

Using Sioux Falls as the example - any line of sight areas are great for a microwave shot which will improve your wide area footprint filling firnge areas and hard to rech spots. One can also connect several together in one area via signal-cable and tune for 20% or more increase in signel for each added. Microwave will expand this to other areas.

If they wanted to see millions from all over the world spend $$ in Prague all they has to do years ago was make Marta the national symbol of the nation promoting her singing all over the world. Her and Radim Hladik's guitar talent.. Both Marta and Radim were the best at their craft and simply the best in the world! Why hasn't Prague named Metro stations after the two of them??

Pre mňa je to najväčšia osobnosť hudobnej scény v ČSSR. Tak nezmyselné perzekúcie, ktoré zničili životy desiatkam tisíc rodín po odpornej okupácii 21. augusta 1968 Rusmi a Bohužiaľ aj pani Martu Kubišovú. KSČS a ŠTB. Vizitka štátu. Toho. Žiaľ, ich potomkovia ešte žijú a robia podvratnú činnosť naďalej. Dostali to vo výchove do vienka. Som rada, že sa hlas Marty Kubišovej opäť vrátil medzi nás, jej obdivovateľov. Len škoda tých premárnených rokov zákazu spevu.

I retired from Ownership of a 1KW AM Daytimer. I shut it down just before the Covid-19 Pandemic. Since retirement and through a lockdown in 2020, I've spent more time studying Part 15 AM. It's now mid 2022. I own the Chez Procaster because tune up seems to be easier and being disabled, I can't get on roofs anymore. I have debated folks on having a good ground because I live in a area prone to severe thunderstorms, lighting hitting trees and houses. I know what 15.219 says about the length of the antenna including the ground lead, I understand it "very clearly". The Chez Procaster guy says to get good coverage, the transmitter must be mounted 20 to 25 feet up. That leaves nothing for a ground wire to a copper rod for just lightning protection to the transmitter, may it be the Hamilton Rangemaster, the Chez Procaster, or the Talking House "Range Extender" that is mounted outside. I believe the FCC see the ground wire as a part of the radiator. This is my opinion because I was a FCC Licensee for 29 Years and I know the Part 73 AM Rules like the back of my hand. Why can't we file a "rule making" to the Commission to allow a longer ground lead if the user proposes use of the Hamilton Rangemaster, Chez Procaster, or the ISS Talking House with the outdoor Range Extender? I've read back over and over with the situation of Ken Cartwright in Stayton, Oregon when he was doing Part 15 AM, and FCC Enforcement Resident Agent Bihn Nguyen. Even though the Commission had a NOUO against Ken's Part 15 KENC Community Operation, seems Mr. Nguyen wanted to help. Ken had one Rangemaster Transmitter attach above the bleachers of the press box at the Stayton High School football field. The roof was metal and Ken took the ground lead and attached it to the metal roof. Mr. Nguyen said that was legal and fine, but Ken had two other Rangemasters, one on top of a 40 foot tower and another on a water tank in town. Mr. Nguyen said the ground lead could not be attached to the tower or water tank. I get Mr. Nguyen's point. I know during this time Ken Cartwright and his wife were celebrating their wedding anniversary. Lesson to be learn is work with the FCC Agent, 98% of them are very nice, humans beings of God like us, also Ken could have invited Mr. Nguyen to the wedding anniversary party for Cake and Coffee. My opinion, we work together, not ask for too much in a "rule making" in Washington, we can get something done to make everyone happy. I believe Mr. Cartwright has a LPFM now, but for others wanting to get into Part 15 AM, we can all learn from each other

I now this is a very old video on UTUBE. What is the best mounting for this transmitter? Ground mount or 25 feet on a mast? Seems like elevated gets into a sticky mess with the length of the ground wire, which becomes part of the antenna..... I do want maximum coverage. I don't need the FCC visit.

Das war die Musik unserer Jugend. Wir in der Oberlausitz fühlen uns jung und frei bei Live- musik auf den Tanzsälen. Was in Berlin für eine Politik gemacht wurde, war uns vollkommen egal. Die Sputniks, Franke-Echo oder die Theo-Schuhmann-Combo warden die besten bei uns. Soetwas wird es nie wieder geben. Man hat die Kultur wegrationalisiert.

Tato píseň je opravdu působivá a procítěně zazpívaná. Jen mne trochu zarazilo, když jsem později zjistil, že se s ní původně proslavila americká zpěvačka Dionne Warwick - pod názvem Anyone Who Had A Heart a to již v roce 1963 a do repertoáru ji v následujícím roce převzala i Angličanka Dusty Springfield. No byla to výhoda železné opony, že se k nám tyto písně v původním znění nedostaly a pro naše posluchače to byla vlastně novinka. Navíc autorská práva autora hudby se neřešily, protože obě znepřátelené strany spolu nekomunikovaly. Pokud by si na západě někdo přetextoval bez svolení cizí píseň, tak by ho právníci autora hudby sedřely z kůže.

@@annasebestova4053 Přesně tak a za zmínku stojí, že když si písničku prosadila do repertoáru Marta, tak mluvila o písničce od Cilly Black. Asi to v té době byla zatím poslední verze.
Jan Grund: jen bych upřesnil, že ta izolace od západní popkultury nebyla tak definitivní a zvláště ne v 60.letech, kdy narozdíl od normalizačních let sedmdesátých nebyla zakazována angličtina v názvech skupin, textech atd. a nutno dodat, že naprostá většina mladých lidí běžně poslouchala Radio Luxembourg, případně pokud se blíže k hranicím dařilo, tak i lokální německé a rakouské rozhlasové stanice. Vyžadovalo to ale aktivní zájem o tu muziku, takže kdo to přímo nevyhledával, tak ty světové hity poprvé opravdu slyšel až ve formě coveru nazpívaném našimi interprety. Některé byly otextovány docela stupidně a ještě naivněji než originál, ale byly i naprosto opačné výjimky, kdy se cover originálu vyrovnal, nebo ho dokonce i předčil. Tato verze od Marty se originálu určitě vyrovnala celkovou kvalitou. Jestli zpěvem a aranží, to už je subjektivní... za mne ano. 🙂

Former Garris/Gates Air Engineer Richard Fry has come up with a way to have more range on Unlicensed Part 15 AM and still comply with the Part 15 Rule 15.219. This is election year, as a former, licensed, broadcaster, if the Democrats get into office, there will be some changes on the FCC. They realize what the Pandemic will still be bad this winter and if we push Richard Fry's idea to Biden/Harris, it will get approved. I know Politicians to help get it done! Now, I'm NOT taking political sides, but with Part 15 AM, the rules need to be modified! Commissioner Pai has sold out to the Big Boys!

@@KandiKlover yeah, my FM only went 4 miles with 50 watts of power. Now I use 30 watts on AM and get around 21 miles.

How you get that Select-a-Tenna to work on a radio perpendicular to the internal antenna rod is astonishing, considering that in order for the S-a-T windings need to be in parallel with the internal loopstick in order to make an electromagnetic inductive coupling. I wonder how much better reception would be if you put the S-a-T on the side of the radio instead of in back.
I'm puzzled, at 3:50 in the Video, it looks like you have a 2 to 3" ground strap running in one direction. What is that, metal? I am a retired broadcaster/sub engineer and I know the Part 15 Rules for AM. My wife bought me Hamilton Rangemaster's Competition Part 15 Transmitter for Christmas so I would have something to do in 2020. I am disabled, owned a licensed station for 28 years, then we shut it down, sold the property, turned the license because we couldn't make no money, and it had a dark cloud over it before we bought it. Anyhow, I'm not gonna say nothing, but the antenna rule I know is short, 118 inches for the antenna and the ground lead included. Mine is not put up yet because of this Cororrona Virus Scare, but we'll get to it. I wanted a rangemaster, but I'm disabled and wore out, so what I got is fine. My two cents worth, Part 15 AM should be 1 watt, with no antenna or ground changes. The Part 15 Rules are out of date, they go back to the 1930s! I broadcast on the net to, but heck, I want my stimulus check and have fun with my transmitter before I die. Commissioner Pai of the FCC answers straight to Trump. The law can be change, but there is a certain way to do it.
Sorry for the delay. We had that wire running across the peak of the roof to the right there then down through a PVC pipe to the ground. Then I had three other ground rods about 20 feet around in a radial array. That site in Omaha was OK'ed by the KC FCC agent. And it covered very well. From North Omaha it reached Warren Buffett's house down on Dodge. lol.

If you ground the Hamilton Rangemaster to the metal, from what I understand from the situation that occurred in Stayton, Oregon in 2008, *I think* the enforcement bureau agent told Ken Cartwright that was o.k. from what I read. This is 2022, I'm sick and tired of politics getting in the way of what true community sevants want to do with Part 15 AM. I've been a Licensee of a 1,000 Watt AM Daytimer for 29 years, I retired now. Running a actual everyday business was getting to me, so I stopped. I have cardio and diabetic problems, but I try to not let it stop me from enjoying seeing what your doing, I'm all for it.
