My father John D Ishii served in the MIS WW2 and 25 years with CIA in SEA was given the gold medal from the CIA
Please remember this generation bought into the no kids, no family socialist agenda. Now they are suffering! More children and a strong family unit is the key to all this sadness folks….unfortunately many people believe otherwise.
There is no teacher shortage. Its a myth.
This makes me incredibly sad to see this beautiful woman all alone like that. No elderly person shud be living alone and lonely. 😢
Yas, go off, AARP!! loving this!
Our culture sucks. The city should find these people and offer help: daytrips, housekeeping, drivers to doctor visits, etc.
I am alone with health mobility issues. When i am no longer able to take care of myself i will have to end it all. I have no family.
Would be good if they would stop bashing our elders...
I thought that the medical term Homosexual was invented by Austro-German psychiatrist Dr. Richard von Krafft Ebing in his publication Encyclopedia Sexualis in about 1886? ♥
If i see this kind of person remember mom so i treat them well 😢❤
Hurts seeing her because my dear mom never even reached 45
Maybe it's best to go back to your native country
@NextDayBetter Hi, Ms. Manda is on her way back teaching in Shelby this August 2024. Perhaps you can come up with a sequel. This is her friend. 😊
That might be a possibility?! Glad she is back.
@@NextDayBetter yay!!! Praying for that to happen. It’s a story worth following considering the number of Filipino teachers working in America and hoping to have this kind of transition. 😀
Atleast she has friends, some people don’t have that. Atleast she has her health and active
She should go to Asia to an assisted living home. They're much better than the ones in the US and she could make friends. That's what I'd do.
An intolerant religion founded by backwards people in a harsh desert will always remain steadfastly uncivilized in the face of progress, intelligence and common sense. Why worry about the petty grievances of ignorant men who believe in a man who could not save himself from a cross except in the lines of a fairy tale book written by other men? Ignore these hateful people and turn your energy and attention towards creating supportive and loving environments for our LGBT+ community and youth, who are often stigmatized and rejected at home due to the hateful superstitions of their parents. Not to mention what the Christian (not just Catholic) churches are well-known for getting up to with children, anyway, so looking towards the faith of hate and ignorance is the last place to find a solution to modern problems.
*I would have sold all my stuff and go back to China if it was that bad* 😢

Mrs. Chu has a lovely smile which shows the beautiful young woman she was.
It is the isolation of loneliness, that permeates your life, especially when your spouse has passed away. It is a feeling that envelopes your daily life.
She is truly Blessed to be her age and getting around like she does with no health issues that keep her immobilized.!!
To grow young is easy. To grow old, hold your head high, see the joys and good around you; enjoy the little company around you, keep well, eat well are harder than we think. This old intrepid, tramper is out there, often daily hacking through the paths. Something to be celebrated and be put on the pedestal.
It's becoming a trend now older people prefer independence and fear bring a burden....I'm 65 now my 92YR OLD mother prefers her routine and the life she has built..she says if she moves eith any of her children she will die of lack of independence
Thanks Lord for your peace
She doesn’t have children that takes care of her???
She doesn’t have children.
I felt saddened by the elderly woman at first..then I realized she has support. If anything happened to her, someone would check on her within hours. She is living the way she wants to. She isn’t left behind. She is hanging onto her freedoms for as long as she can. Personally, I wouldn’t want her to live alone BUT as u watch the video, she likes her independence. With that said, check on your neighbors and have a relationship with the elderly around you
Beautifully said! You’ve captured the essence of the story. She is powerful. She chose to live alone, yet.. she is not lonely. This story is also about checking in on each other and showing up for our elders.
My son helped an old lady get down the stairs at the church entrance. The lady started crying, she said it's been a long time since somebody had held her hands(she has 3 children and 6 grandchildren).
That center she goes to is a big contributor to her wellbeing. I even hear them speaking her language as well as english. Socialization is important.
That's the result of a society that literally kicks their kids out of home when they become 18 or after college. They struggle, become easy target for underpaid work, contract debts and of course resent from parents. Later on ce they get old, they cannot expect children to be nearby and be supportive PS: not saying this is HER case, but rhe average "American culture"
🤔
This make me sick where her kids.😭
No kids.
Sad story.. I am 62 and I can already tell that getting old sucks!
Does it have to suck? It doesn’t have to be a sad story, right?
Thank you for this amazing video. ❤
You are most welcome! ❤️❤️❤️
She is a Shanghainese .
This is my life for many years, and this is my future. No family. Alone.
How about chosen family?
So nice to see the elderly mobile going to a community place.
Is this woman still living? I would like to reach out to her to help her. I feel so sad that she have no one’s
What i don't understand is if you come from Hong Kong, why are you speaking Mandarin? Nevertheless, i pray for this young lady. 💪🙏
My Asian people: We come from a culture in which we are supposed to treasure and respect our elderly and care for them in their old age. Yet being Asian in America is all about making money. We neglect our family and we neglect our elders. This is wrong on so many levels. WAKE THE HELL UP AND TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN.
This is normal. Their kids are fully American and Westernized. They dont stay and take care of their dyin aged parents lol
Life should be like a bus ride. When you think that you've had enough just get out.
You people are so full if yourselves. Gross.
I love old ppl regardless of their attitude....thry earned it ❤
This is one of the reasons I don’t want to be old
I hope that friendly visiting is offered at some of these centers. I used to do it and it is a valuable service.
It's funny because Chinese seniors have a very active life in China. I used to live in China for 10 years. Old people have probably the most active lives I have ever seen of any country and sometimes even more active than the ones of young people.
