SO PRETTY OML!!!
Wonderful version of the tune. I believe I hear some contest fiddle licks in there such things as the shuffle bowing and hokum bowing that gets tossed in.
Sheet music?
Nice interpretation
Wow! Awesome!!!
Hello from New Zealand
some of your notes sound a little flat. In terms of the instrument itself, the sound post needs to be adjusted. The e notes are incredibly hard, so i would suggest moving the sound post away from the e string a bit. other than that i think it's pretty decent...save for a slight squeek here and there hehe ^__^. happens to us all .
Lovin' the start, amazing variaiton and style. I only know this as Tamlin. Love from Scotland
please come to bali island.... 😇💃🌹🎻
🥺 too good
Lovely tune - sweetly played!
Tam lin day 1 ?
Wow! What an innovative rendition of this tune. Well done!
Thats a handsome fiddle...looks like a mid to late 19thc German Stainer copy....beautiful mid sound and a nice rich colour
either the sound post isn't in the right place, or it's a very new violin. The more you play a violin, the less "tight" the wood sounds or for lack of better word... resonates more clearly. When i was learning to play i was introduced to a man named Elan Howe in Michigan. Very nice man, decent violinist and a very VeRy good violin maker. He had one interesting tool for loosening up the wood on the volin. Basically he modified a speaker to not resonate through the paper cone, but through a kind of metal tuning fork with a single alligator clip. He would clip it to the bridge of a violin and just play violin music through the speaker into the volin. Effectively using the violin as a resonant cavity. Very cool and ingenious thing to do.
I will play that..... In 10 years.
My favourite rendition on YT. I'm a beginner of 6 months using my Grandfather's old fiddle. I notice your bow hold is a bit ahead of the frog and that my Grandfather's bow that I use has a sort of rubber grip in that position ... and that i find it easier to ply it there for faster stuff. Was wondering if that's a legit pisition for fiddling or is the classic bow hold recommended?
@@meaghanmacneilfiddle thanks for that. i probably do need to go back to bowing basics because it's killing my shoulder so i must have a stiff wrist or something. i played electric guitar for 30 years but fiddle is much more challenging. p.s. beautiful, fluid playing. cheers
Beautiful sounding tune - kind of haunting in a way.
what was your process of learning by ear? what can I do to start? thank you!
Sensacional 👏
The creator of this tune was our musician at feis's. Gerry Conlon was his name from Glasgow...I danced like a superstar to this !!
That is false. It's a well known fact that this tune was composed by Davey Arthur.
Sounds lovely, love those crunchy triplets.
Absolutely wonderful!!!!!!Please tell me what fiddle you are using. This ismy favorite version of Tam Kin! Thank you.
Hola, ame tu interpretación y me preguntaba si tienes la partitura de esa adaptación
Hello just found your page. Sounds great. Are you using a dead string on some of the runs? I finally got the first 5 bars of Swallowtail jig. There allot of the but there so fast! How long have you been playing?
@@meaghanmacneilfiddlethanks. I herd that term when you hit two strings at same time.
@@meaghanmacneilfiddle that is so cool you can do that. I am 8 months in so someday
@@jagsdomain203 I’m pretty sure that’s a double stop ^^
smooth
Woow👍🏼👌🏼👏🏼amazing 🌈.
