    Very nicely explained. I have one of these which my late father-in-law "found" during the action on Monte Cassino (he was 2 Korpus Polski) but the blade has been snapped. He was found in possession of it in the late 1940s in London. Explained how he got it and was allowed to keep it so long as the blade was removed or snapped. I can see now why he chose to break the blade. The bloodstained fingerprints on the blade are allegedly those of the original owner. Would have it restored but they're illegal in the UK so . . .

    Thanks again for the great video! Question on springs durability, I have seen quite a few knives with broken or repaired springs, how fragile are those, in all the years of your collecting experience have you ever broke one just by opening and closing it ? Sometimes I want to play with one I have, but kind of worrying if I’ll brake that spring.

    • @divingeagletv
      @divingeagletv Před 4 měsíci

      I may have broken one half way but heard of a few collectors who broke one. Just be careful and patient when Releasing a blade. I never push a lever all the way down as it is not necessary at all.

    Sind die Teile mit der gleichen werkseitigen Kennzeichnung gekennzeichnet oder nicht? Sie haben irgendwie geantwortet, dass Sie nein sagen, nicht unbedingt. Aber jetzt stimmen die 41-Markierungen auf dem Video überein , und sie weisen darauf hin, dass dies ein wichtiger Punkt ist. Deutet das wirklich darauf hin, dass die Details nur in einer solchen Situation echt sind? Oder ist der Unterschied in den Zahlen immer noch nicht so wichtig?

    • @divingeagletv
      @divingeagletv Před 5 měsíci

      @@divingeagletvIch verstehe Sie, aber es gibt spezielle Fälle, in denen die Zahlen variieren können. Zu meiner Zeit habe ich eine E-Mail mit einem Foto von gravity Knife geschickt, das Ihnen diese Nuance zeigt. Sie haben geschrieben: "Beide Teile haben normalerweise die gleiche Nummer. Aber es gibt sehr wenige besondere Fälle, in denen dies nicht der Fall ist." Das war mir wichtig, weil ich wissen wollte, dass alle Teile ursprünglich waren, wie sie zusammengebaut wurden. Auf jeden Fall danke, dass Sie geantwortet haben. Es ist wirklich toll, dass neue Videos über diese Messer erscheinen! Auch Ihr Buch hat sich als nützlich erwiesen. Danke
