Im so glad to see someone share their experiences in falling and how it affects your confidence. I just fell from my horse a week ago for the first time (i fell before but this was the first time i fell off him) and it landed me in the hospital with 4 fractures in my back and of them in my lower back. And now im not allowed to ride for another to months. This definitely broke my confidence alot and would like some advise on how to keep my mind more positive for when the time comes that i can get back on again. What breaks me the most is we were preparing for a show and i had to completely miss out on that. I know there will be lots of shows in the future but i was just extremely excited as this would have been my first.

I got back on a horse 1 time and i am new to riding but i just cried and was like to the owner of the horse can you take him pls and i will go to my friends for a bit thank you but i just wanna say i kind of know what that's like and you got back on him i can feel the pain and i just want to say good job you did great

So you have great a big fall at first as well as you fell into a WOODEN jump, and then your made or go back on? You fall into another object that is a sign of TIME OUT you could see in your trot after that you seemed stiff and not smooth, l hope you are okay but l do suggest maybe doing a 10-15 minute time out, trotting and walking with someone beside you and then go again. That first fall looked liked it hurt alot and was terrifying to watch and do, l understand if your at a high level but even the pros and experienced riders know when to stop you definitely should have had a break and then go again l pray your okay now and you have no long lasting injuries

Hi I’ve just found your channel, I’ve only watched a couple of your videos. How long have you been riding? I know you’ve made your decision to ride Q, but I personally think that Bourbon would have been a better match for you. On Q you kinda looked a bit out of control, although you rode very nicely. Whereas on Bourbon it looked like you clicked. I hope you have a great time on Q, and I hope Artax gets better very soon x

One time I fell off 3 times in 1 lesson and every time I got right back on and started jumping again! It’s scary falling I fall all the time! And I have also lost confidence a LOT! But this is something we enjoy don’t give up!!!❤❤

you’re so much braver than me because a few years ago when i fell over going over a jump, i swore up and down i’d never jump again. so therefore i made sure all my trainers at the time knew i wasn’t gonna jump. 😭 but now i’ve gotten a new trainer who knows what she’s doing, and she got me right back into it! but i’m ngl the fear is still there 😂

He’s a lot like Casper (a horse at my barn) in looks, seat cues, and the getting fast! Except Casper is like 14.2hh lol And oop I wasn’t expecting that fall!

Ive just came across this video and wanted to say i think you done extremely well for getting back on 👍. From the angle of the camera it looks a very tight approach into that double, not really a nice jump to approach to begin with, infact the whole school looks very intimidating with so many jumps in it lol. Its horrible losing confidence but do try and give yourself a mind set of, falling off will only make you a stronger rider. 9 times out of 10 when it comes to jumping it is rider error, so looking back you can see what went wrong and work on that, give yourself something positive to focus on rather than the negative thing that happened, the fall. I have fallen into a jump before, it hurt, but i made sure i haven't done it again lol. Confidence comes with time, everyone is different, don't push yourself if your not ready or do push yourself if you feel thats what you need. Good luck and happy riding 😀
