Transformers - Galvatron's Air Attack (1986 Dramatisation)
Hello again fellow cassette tape fans. It is nearly a year since my last upload, and I still haven't moved house properly!
I will be making more Monkey Grinder Corner episodes once I find somewhere to live properly, but in the meantime here is a classic that I had on tape as a kid. The opening music brought me to shivers, isn't it amazing how sound and music can transport you back to what feels like a previous life.
If you listen closely, the actor who plays Jupiter Jones in The Three Investigators is in this!! Have a listen.
Thanks for listening, MG

The Christmas upload this year was going to be Leonard Rossiter reading A Christmas Carol, but I have just been too busy. Will hopefully get onto that one in the new year. Enjoy, and hope you all have a happy new year. MG

And now for something completely different... I have had this LP in my collection for years, I bought it for mixing the dialogue into Hip Hop beats when I had both my decks set up. Then the other week I thought the archive on here would be the ideal place for it. Someone who speaks German might actually get to listen to it! I am not sure of the publication year, but I am guessing 1970's. Danke, MG

Do you know by chance if this music theme appeared somewhere else before Rainbow Communications started using it? You mentioned "Radio Communications" in description, but I guess it's just a typo. Also, this was used in The A Team Cassette & Book published by Moonbeam Books (division of Rainbow Comm.), apparently released in 1984.

It's tragic that in the re-release of these books they were forced to eliminate Alfred Hitchcocks name....Robert Arthur and Hitch were great admirers of each other.

36:11 ... the subtitles makes a funny boo-boo. Though, I'm dealing with accent, I'm happily surprised to read it kept-up with the rolling 'R's of the Grand Witch's announcements.

The person who voices Wonka in this audiobook is a very obscure actor called Gordon Fairclough, who only has a few credits to his name. He's been in things like z cars and Coronation Street back in the 60s. Here's a rare episode of z cars that he was in; as soon as you hear his voice, you know immediately that it's the same actor. Go to 9:14 in the video. czcams.com/video/koDF9Tc4kxg/video.html
